What pedal(s) are you using for dirt?

I have two fuzzes, Eau Claire Thunder and Tall Font Russian. If you simply want to wound the audience, use the TFR. As for the ECT, if you want to kill every living thing in the room, accept no substitutes.

I use the B7K for low drive, the Fuzzrocious Demon for heavy OD, and a Darkglass VMT for that nice vintage hairy tone. I also have the SA MWBD, and I use that for a nice synthy dirt to pair with my chorus and POG2 for textures and swells. No matter how full my board is with dirt, I will be buying the SA OFD when it releases.

I love OCD! I think it gets a bad rap around here for low end loss. I get very little but I don't mind. It works for me and sounds like no other dirt. I've almost parted with it twice now and just can't bring myself to do it. It keeps finding it's way back on my board.

I totally agree. I have been thinking about getting a blender pedal to reduce some low end that way, but I don't think it bothers me enough to do it :p

I've thought the same thing before myself. But I like the sound it gets me. The tone especially. I'm in a three piece so when my guitarist is soloing or leading I lay down the raunch with my OCD and it sounds awesome. I recently got a demon king by fuzzrocious and I stack the two together. Oh momma, talk about sick. They sound sweet together.

I have tried so many of these, loved many, flipped many.
Cabs can change things so much...finally have a couple cabs I really like, so that part of the equation may have stabilized...
For now the revolving cast is: AMT Bass Crunch (smooth light drive, or good snarl)
VFE Triumvirate (very tweakable 3-band dist.)
DMB Bumble (OD to fuzz, with clean blend)
Vt Bass (more OD w/EQ)
Guv'nor GV-2 (Dist w/EQ-good for high-gain)
Mind you, not all at once, though I do like to experiment with stacking a couple...
I'm definitely 'down the rabbit hole' on this, and I admit it.
I've found that live, so many of the subtleties I thought I heard at lower volumes seem lost, one or two of these at a time seem to work fine at a gig.
Also have a Para driver on the way.......I know...I may need to seek help.

My always-on tone is Phat Phuk B into BDPG, both set a unity. For distortion and fuzz, a Wounded Paw Battering Ram, which deserves more love than it gets around here. Especially the fuzz.

I just scored a Rusty Box that I haven't had a chance to play with. Does anyone have experience running a preamp into a preamp?

I run my B7K into my BDPG, sounds great! What is your other preamp youre using?
