Thanks for the info. the Apple Devices App is a new one, so I'm sure I'll end up doing that. I already pay for online storage at Dropbox, so I have no desire to pay Apple more and spread my files over yet another online site. It should be as simple as connecting a cable and navigating to the DCIM directory, then selecting files....but no, evidently it takes yet another app. I think I managed it once via iTunes, which Apple seems to be trying to abandon.

Only reason I use apple is because the kids do.
Makes it easy to send videos and the such with everyone.
Used a SE for years from 2016 and still have it and it works but I became big on taking photos and needed a better camera with image stabilization.
Plus I like the fact that when I use the assistant (which I do a lot) the phone shuts itself back off.

I do that too. But Yesterday I had more than a dozen photos to post a for sale item and it required a couple of emails.

I know this is what they call a first world problem, and I work through it. Most of it is due to changes in the file management of Android vs. Apple. Spend 15 years learning one set of software assumptions and then change the rules, and you’re bound to be frustrated.

I’m even more ticked off at MS for changing the Outlook interface into one designed for email novices that makes it harder to use for those who know how to make it work.

Grumble, grumble…,😵‍💫

It's trivial to share photos, videos and file in the Apple-device ecosystem with the built-in AirDrop. From iOS Photos you can always select images or Albums and use the Share icon to send them to someone via Messages, Mail, Messenger, Whatsapp, etc.

If you have Dropbox you not only can share images to it (and then share it with yourself or other people from the cloud), it also supports automatic background uploading of images to Dropbox using their Camera Uploads feature. Using the Dropbox's Windows desktop app you can also trivially manage, download and share your Dropbox cloud photos, no cable needed.

I haven't used Dropbox's desktop Windows app but apparently with it installed you can plug a camera or your mobile device into a computer with the Dropbox desktop app installed and you’ll see a prompt asking if you’d like to enable camera uploads for that device. Once you accept, that device will automatically upload your camera roll each time the device is plugged in to that computer.

I finally got fed up with some problem with Windows (don't remember what), and with having multiple OS systems like Android etc on other devices, and suddenly converted us to Mac mini m1 and iPhones.
I was hoping these would give a no-brainer experience (as I have other things to think about), and luckily they have provided exactly that. Totally satisfied. Totally happy with Logic Pro too.

Every phone I've bought since my first smartphone has been bigger than the last. My moto e2 was the perfect size, I miss the days of small phones.

Most of my band mates have iPhones. That makes messaging less glitchy. (Can even un-send a text! Who says technology won't save us?)

The best android hardware doesn't compare to the cheapest iphone hardware. Nothing lasts like an iphone. I hate the way they do certain things but they have the best slave labor in the market. My dad's iphone se 1 that's almost ten years old works like a charm with the original battery and several cracks in the front and the back.
