I'm a fingerstyle player and still in the crappy stages of pick technique, but depending on the sound I'm going for, either Dunlop .73mm nylon or Dunlop 2.0mm Gator Grip (which are the type of picks that made me want to try picking in the first place).

three big thick, soft and meaty ones that are permenantly attached to my hand. Quite a bit harder to learn on... but I'm happy.

Dunlop Tortex Blue Triangle - 1.0mm gauge.

Quoting myself here, but, I wanted to add whats nice about the triangle picks is that if you grab one off the mic stand and your in a hurry you don't have to fumble with them to get the right side, you can pick with them whichever way you grab it. Each edge is useable.
