May I take this time to offer up an option to check out the new sire basses....I'm sure you can find a link here somewhere....lol
I hear their new Marcus Miller in particular is far more bass than you'd expect for the price.
I wonder how they compete.

Wish I could hear more about them...seems everyone is keeping them a secret.
IMHO...I got a Am St V and I love it - it just took a while for me to "click" with it. The fingerboard radius is tight, the poly coat on the neck, dialing in the setup, etc.
Finally, I have a broken in set of TI flats on it, and I like to play with the tone rolled back and almost closed. It thumps the house down, way more than any other bass I own, and I get why Ps are so coveted.
That said, I know and understand and embrace that they are not for everyone.

In Norway, they say there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. I'd say the same about guitars--no wimpy ones, only wimpy players.

My Norwegian is rudimentary, but here's my approximate translation.
What the actual f***? Only for country? Have you heard of Albert Collins? Robben Ford? Is that wimpy? (Etc). OTOH, it _is_ true that ragarre isa bunch of m*********ers. That's accurate.
Sorry, but a standard single PU P-Bass is the furthest thing from a Swiss Army bass...Can you solo the bridge PU and roll down tone for Jaco? Oh, thats right - it doesnt have a bridge pickup
