What Precision clone up to $300(used) could you recommend?

Why would you spend more on pots and a cap than replacement pickups? If the pots and cap need replacing, replace them, sure. But spending 25% on of his entire bass budget on a paper and oil cap and some pots is silly, especially when you're going to pair them with bargain pickups. And claiming MIM Fenders are garbage is just as silly as the rest of that business.

I too love the p bass. With that said, the early Japanese were better than ANY CBS period Fenders ,and are on par with the mid fifties to early sixties USA Fenders. A maple neck is a must for me, but that's just me. If you land a beat up ,but sound Japanese p bass, you can always put a pot-cap harness in it, at a later date. CTS pots with an paper-oil cap harness maybe $75.00 ... Pups another $50.00 . You would have the best of all worlds in my opinion. I would stay away from any other " knockoff " Japan was the only truly licensed Fender franchise,that made quality to be beat the band . I am biased. I think MIM Fenders are junk. I know that's a blanket statement . Too general. I wouldn't own one, but many players love them, and do very well with MIM . I guess it's what you see under the hood,the feel and the sound of course . Reverb is the place to buy,hands down. Check it out,if you have not done so yet. Reverb.com . ( No I have no interest in the company )
Good luck. Make $300. $400. and you'll be in the running. Also remember cosmetics mean NOTHINGS ! I'll never understand bass and guitar players paying for " distressed " instruments . The idea being, look like you've put in your 10,000 hours, when in fact you're just a poseur. Good luck .

I've bought a ton of MIM jazz basses and never paid over $350 and used MIM precision basses go for $50~$100 less than the MIM j basses around here.

Why buy a copy when you can get the real thing?

I'm assuming your goal is $300 US dollars, which is roughly $7900 Ukranian hyrvnia.

I had one of those Eva Gardner models. It was same quality as Classic Vibe . I would say it was like a Matt Freeman with a jazz neck. I sold it because I had too many black basses in favor of the Classic Vibe 60s'P. It came down to my preference for the neck and the thump over that more aggressive 70's grind. Great basses all the way around.

You can fond a used Carvin for that. I picked up a Carvin jazz for under $400

One of the consistently best sounding/playing/constructed budget P's I've played is the Squier Matt Freeman. A used one should come in under budget.

I still see Fender Mexican p basses for sale used in the $300-$350 range. The older peavey fury is a good one as well and a little slimmer feeling from what I can remember. Here's the fury I had back in the 90s. These are super cheap when found used. Ignore the dork in the picture lol

Peavey Fury is the obvious choice if one has the patience to wait for a good one at the right price.

Made in the USA and will only go up in value.

Search your local Craigslist as well as the Craigslist in cities within driving distance. You'll find one.

Edit: just realized you are in Ukraine.

Bass length and scale are not the same thing.

That bass used to be on Rondo. I remember seeing it on there a year or two ago.
