what strings do ibanez basses ship with?

Los Angeleez
i've discovered that i like the stock strings that come on many ibanez basses including the mikro, SR500 and SR1800e models. i've tried emailing ibanez to find out what they are, but am not getting a reply. i tried phoning today, but their menu system sends you back to the first menu if your query doesn't match the menu options.

so i'm wondering if anyone here knows what strings ibanez is using. i'm guessing they're their own strings that aren't for sale anywhere, but you never know...

I suspect that, at this time, Ibby only puts Elixers on their medium and higher end basses. I have actually corresponded with a couple of Ibby people who say that they use "house stock" strings on their entry and lower lines. What this exactly means, I don't know. But I can't see Ibanez putting $35 Elixers on one of their "jump start" GIO series.

Someone here (or over at acousticguitarforum discussing either Martin or Taylor, can't remember which, doing the same thing) pointed out how using coated strings is a good idea for moving product: fresh-ish strings on an instrument in a store sound better than rusty and cruddy ones, so people are a little more likely to leave the store with the guitar, if only because they've managed to get a better idea of the sound than plucking and fretting old barbed wire.
