This is true everywhere: In the supermarket, on the roads, etc. People are so inconsiderate these days.

And I can relate to your earlier story; I worked at McDonald's for 3½ years in college. I recognized (eventually) that the reason people belittle others is because their life sucks and it makes them feel superior. (My stepfather did this to us quite a bit when I was growning up.) So I just smiled, got them their order, and let it go. How? By thinking "My life must be SO much better than yours, ya douchebag."

I feel ya brother. People absolutely **** on people in the service industry and it stinks.

Its true. A few weeks ago I was buying some beer at a Smart and Final. This one customer was being a total bitch to the cashier. "You put my apples down to hard" "Youre disrespectful" "You have a bad attitude" The cashier was just trying to do her job. On my way out, as I passed the rude lady, I turned to her and said "Im sorry maam, but it seems to me like youre the one with the bad attitude". The other cashiers, as well as the customers, almost broke out in applause.

Im inclined to agree. The woman I mentioned seemed miserable. She had a young autistic boy with her, and Im sure that can make life more difficult. That doesnt entitle a person to be an *******, though. I felt bad for the boy, having to grow up around a seemingly wretched woman.

There are few cultures in my interweb travels that are so open to new "mature content" developments as the Germans and the Japanese. The Axis powers seem to still be fairly unified in terms of invading sexual boundaries even if neighboring sovereign states are now safe.

That's an interesting view point.

You readily expect stranger to provide schooling, roads etc for your children.

But when one of them want's to keep your child in line, you draw the line. I would feel that they earned that right. I would guess you don't.
