What to Put on my *Pedaltrain Mini*???

I have a Boss board (the one the has three slots for Boss pedals) and I started my Mini using the Boss power supply and daisy chain that came with it......worked fine.

When I moved past three pedals I bought a 1Spot power supply kit that has an eight lead daisy chain and various power adapter for other types of pedal power supplies. Works great!

The adapters came in handy when I got the Demeter Compulator. It required a 9v mini power supply plug (different from the standard Boss style) and it was included in the kit.

One suggestion that was given to me that you may want to consider was alternating the pedals up and down. It may give you a little more room between your cable ends. For an example see pics of my board just above.

Thanks! I did manage to move the Bad Monkey up to provide some relief. There weren't many other options for staggering. I may have gotten away with straight connectors (as I have between the VT and Chorus), but the BBE has a slanted side angling the output jack.

Thanks, getting better but dreadfully slowly. At least I'm finally able to be up and feel good enough to plug in the bass. Hopefully the next week or two will afford me some practice time. Even if vision is messed up, I can start to play.

I did however get out my JR and the Mini a little while ago, unpack the mini, and started placing a few pdeals on there just to see how things will fit. Not going to finish up though until I get my Micro POG and VT and try them out. I've also got a LoopMaster on order, so not sure what is going to end up on there yet!

Initial impressions are how super this mini is. It is so nice and light, it makes my JR. seem ridiculous. The ONLY drawback is that I can't fit my EBS WahOne on it, and you can't mount a VoodooLabs Pedal Power 2 underneath like on the JR. That is a feature I LOVE about the JR. Once that power supply is mounted under there in the brackets, it makes wiring the best thing ever!

Yeah, I'm having fun with the mini too.

Like you, I wish it were a little longer (maybe 4-5 inches, which would make it about two feet) and give me room for one more pedal. And I'd also like a little more room underneath for a beefier power supply.

Of course I'll prboabaly always want to add "one more pedal" which will one day get me a Jr. I'm resisting though, I really love the form factor of the Mini.

I keep experimenting trying to find the "perfect" combination and order of pedals on my Mini.

Just got a good deal on a used Unichorus so I think the CEB3 is coming off. Also thinking about swapping positions between the VT and compressor. Seems to me that the VT heats up the signal a little bit.

Well, if you're using velcro with any pedal board it's best to remove the rubber from the pedal before applying the velcro. The rubber doesn't adhere as well as applying direct to metal.

Keep in mind, it's not necessary, just recommended.

AJ I was thinking about picking up a VT Bass to use in front of my LMII. DOes it beef up the tone and make it really sound more like an SVT? I am using a Sadowsky 5 and a bergie hS410 ....

Just picked a MINI! Looking for a power supply and the 1spot is looking like the simplest and least expensive solution. My chain is as follows (for now): Boss TU-2>EBS OctaBass>EBS UniChorus>EBS DynaVerb>rig. I'm looking to add an evelope filter such as an EBS BassIQ (I know what's with all the EBS but they are fairly small, I could probably fit another 3 across) or EH Mirco QTron, not sure yet. I'm using some black DiMarzio patch cables my Dad let me have, he's a guitarist with a trunk full of pedals etc. So far, I love the size and weight. Also, this size really makes you distill your choice of effects that what you really need that will cover most of your bases (pun intended)! :) Pics soon once I get the power supply and velcro everything in.

Nice setup man. The size does make you get to the brass tacks. And I hear you on the EBS, I ended up with a few: Pitchblack -> Octabass -> MXR El Grande -> BassIQ -> UniChorus -> MultiComp

Jmain..thanks bro. Hey, have you tried the BassIQ vs. the MXR m228 Bass Deluxe Octave? When playing worship at church, the only effect I will really use is the octave pedal (like 1 song out of 15 will call for it)! I once owned a fretless Sterling which sounded crazy with an octave and chorus together. Wish I had a fretless again, especially for worship.

Haven't had a chance to try the M228 BOD. Was thinking about that one, but found the Octabass used at a good price. I like the Octabass.

I haven't played worship service in a while (changed churches) and the gospel gigs have been on the light side. I just got the board put together a couple months ago and haven't played out. (Jonesing!) But I've used the chorus mostly for both gigs. I wanna incorporate the Octabass and BassIQ into the gospel gig. Gotta get them folks to play some Fred Hammond.
