What to Put on my *Pedaltrain Mini*???

Whoops! I meant to type EBS OctaBass vs. MXR BOD instead BassIQ! Well I think you understood what I meant! LOL. Yeah I picked up my Octabass for cheap as well but would like to at least try a few different octavers before settling for the "right" one (or two)!

Anyhow, but on topic, I think I'm going to check out the 1 Spot before going with more expensive supplies for my Mini. I just picked up a PT2 for my dad and he's going to get a Voodoo PP2+ to power his 8-9 pedals. I'll get to check it out first hand and also help him build the board (he's plug n play lo-fi kinda guy) based on what I've been reading in the Effects forums.

The one spot is sweet if your pedals can run that way and don't need a wall wart. I really dig mine.

Hey guys, quick question: what is the best way to remove the neoprene pad at the bottom of EBS pedals? The PedalTrain hook velcro won't stay on some of my EBS pedals (it stuck well to my DynaVerb, but the UniChorus and Octabass loosened up and swam around inside the bag!) I started with a razor blade but it got messy and I scratched the blue finish in a few spots. I was thinking sandpaper but do you all have any better ideas?

Hi,
you have to remove that neoprene pad as much as you can by hand :bawl: (I know bit frustrating, especially at the middle -use your fingers and clean off the hole blacky pad, than use WD40 on a small cloth (a piece of old t shirt is fine) and clean off the sticky part, still by hand, use the cloth gently, do not press to hard just that much as really needed and after a short time the hole pad and sticky glue will dissapear nicely. Than you got a "very" oily bottom :smug:on your EBS pedal, so use an other small-clean cloth and make it wet with warm water and mixture of soap, but do not make it to wet, and use it gently again to clear off the oil, than use clean cloth again to make the bottom of your pedal dry. Than you can feel by your fingers if that is still oily or not, If not ready to go with the velcro! Do not forget, just take your time with this work and the result is a very nice factory blue finish on your EBS pedals and no even a scratch on it!

If you superglue eventually the neoprene will probably start to pull away from the paint or rip if you move the pedal around or on/off the board. Hehe. I'm gonna try Ebelow's suggestions and see what happens. :)

Yes, superglue will distroy the hole neo pad on the EBS and pretty sure the blue paint will be moulded up as well! Be careful, later maybe you wanna sell your pedal and that time, if you just put a small rubber feet (from HomeDepo) -just like all other pedals has-you will get a just like good as new pedal without any scratch and the buyer will be happy to. So if you paid that big price for your loved EBS, why do not handle with care? so the solution is WD40, if the thing is too sticky :D
my EBS pedals and the others look like untached, but without the poly pad!

Just the UniChorus and OctaBass...the velcro slips off even when the Mini is in the bag inside my house (a/c is on). I'm just gonna shave the neoprene off per Ebelow's suggestion. The DynaVerb is on my dad's guitar pedal board right now so far it's ok. I've got it up in the classified because I just scored a MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe. Gonna A/B with the OctaBass and decided which one I like the most for what I play at church. :)

Yeah, mine is sliding in the bag at home too. Actually on the Multicomp and Unichorus, so guess I need to do the same fix.

Let us know (here, elsewhere - dedicated thread out there somewheres) how they compare for you.

uhh,sorry don't know that stuff, but the WD40 works on all sticky parts, just get a very small size spray, I have got the Dverb, Uchorus and Mcomp and all looks like new. and yes if the pedal is new the pad can come off easily! try with your fingers, start from one of the corner and try take the neoprene pad off in one piece in cross line- like this: / :smug:
just finished the hole job in 3 min. on my Dverb.
Nothing moving on my board all permanent :bassist:

sorry it's not a mini board, but you can see how the EBS and even the JDI's bottom looks like without the neoprene pad.
The paint job is still the same on all of it, how they was made in the factory! ;)

Thanks! Yes, exactly just work slow and use your thumb -not an easy job, - and the WD40 definite need when the pad is off, there will be the glue still on, only coming off nicely with the small amount of wd40. The pads will be "destroyed" pretty sure, won't come off in one piece really, my Dverb's pad was only one came in one piece, but not in a nice condition.
ahh, easier to work if you taking off the bottom from your EBS pedal, just unscrew those 4 bolts.
