What was the oddest pet you ever owned?

I had a couple newts. One was name JoJo JoBeau and the other was eaten by our turtle too fast too name. The turtles name was Atlas. I raised rats for an Albino Burmese Python, but I wouldn't exactly say the rats were pets as much as they were food. The Burmese was called Sidhartha. My roommate and I donated him to the local reptile shop that does shows for kids when we realized that Sidhartha had basically grown to the point that the living room was his cage, and we were beginning not to feel safe. He was close to 170 lbs and 10ft long when we gave him up. It was the dumbest animal I've ever known. Pretty much an eating muscle.

I have a dog now. His name is Nino as in El Nino(can't put the little tilde over the n). He'll be ten in September.

I've also raised bearded clams. The best trick for taming them is shaving them to show them whose boss and feeding them lots of sausage. As long as it gets plenty to eat, it doesn't whine too much.

Hi.

Don't know if this counts, but when I was a kid, I used to hang out in my friends dads farm. On several occasions we would "rescue" field mice when the cats were playing with 'em. I lived quite far away about 10Km, and those mice really didnt travel well in my jacket pocket the distance.

Allthough I was pretty fast with my bike, as some of You probably still remember, pre-teen boys are quite easily distracted with the wonders of the wild, and a dying mouse in Your pocket didn't make you pedal any faster. Or reduce the amount of stops.

We had to bury those mice quite often and for some reason I was told NOT to bring any more dead rodents to our house. So for the next trip the mouse went to my little sisters pocket :D.

That resulted a recommendation to get a suitable twig of my choosing from the birch in our yard and after that the appeal for bringing more cat food home kinda vanished.

I was big into exotic freshwater fish. This guy at a local store one day gives me the old don't-tell-anyone-I-sold-these-to-you and send me home with two odd looking fish. Turns out they were Asian Tiger Snakeheads. They grew very quickly and they were VERY aggressive. They ate six jumbo feeder fish apiece when they were about a foot long. One day they frenzied and cracked the tank glass. These things had some really large teeth and new how to use them. They had to be euthanized after they cracked the tank.

Baby pictures of my corns when I first got them a little over 2 years ago. The male is now around 3 ft and the female is a little over 2ft.

I also have a year old western hognose snake, but haven't takin' any pics of it.

These pets keep me busy!

Bearded dragons are the next purchase.

Nice Acrantophis SRT..... its wonderful to see other people keeping reptiles!

What some people consider weird I consider normal.....
I currently own goats, chicken, turkey (great pet....dumb as a rock but sweet), ducks, 55 gallon fresh full of cichilds, 55 gallon salt that has a single spotted puffer (2 inches long...he's cool), 4 tanks of turtles ( 3-striped muds, razorback musks, and a sideneck), a dumerils boa, a ball python, a snippy okeetee corn snake, a cat, and a dog. And I baby sit a red eared slider turtle.
I've owned in the past: chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, pacman frog, King Anole (very large very mean lizard), glass snake, box turtles, brown frog, mice, hamsters, gerbils, rats (all as pets...not counting the feeder mice), regular mud turtles, and some other stuff I'm sure I"m forgetting.
