My first bass was a SBMM Ray 35. These days my main bass is a Warwick FNA. In the (hopefully) near future my main bass will be a Dingwall NG-2!

First bass was a Vantage of some kind. I don't remember exactly. It has been mercifully blocked from my mind. That was in about 1978 or so. It was like playing a bass that balanced like a broomstick with a bowling ball on the wrong end. Now, the primary bass is a Gibson EB that will probably be supplanted by the Thunderbird I just bought. I had a 'Bird in the past, and it was my main bass, but I wandered away. Now I wandered back.
My first bass was a terrible dean bass that came in one of those starter packs with an amp and bag about 9 years ago, got it when I was 13. I learned to play on that for a couple of years and still have it, though one of the tuning machines is busted and it's not getting fixed since its not worth selling even fixed. From there I had an ibanez sr305, it was eh. About a year later I sold that and got a MIM Jazz that I still have and use as a backup, I've upgraded the pups to some bartolini whatevers I found for cheap and replaced the nut which cracked with a tusk nut. My main bass is a Musicman Bongo which I acquired just over 2 years ago, definitely my main bass. I play the Jazz at some practices or if the bongo ever needs to get worked on, but as great as it is the bongo blows it away.
My fisrt bass was a crappy LTD 4 string and now im rocking a Warwick Thumb NT 4 string. Such an upgrade with no regrets
My first bass, bought in 1988 or 1989, was a roughly-used Fender P of uncertain origin; I think it was a 1984 model, and had an E serial number, making it Japanese or American. I found it when I was gassing for yet another six-string thing, picked it up on a whim and was instantly hooked. I've been playing bass ever since. About ten years ago now I had money problems and had to sell it to a collector; I still miss it. 
My current main bass is an EBMM Big Al. It's the Swiss army knife of basses. Three pickups, active or passive, you name it. I got it because it can do so many different tonal things with just one instrument.
That being said, I gave in to missing my first bass and bought one of the blond maple Squier VM P basses and doctored it up with a Gotoh bridge and flatwounds, just because I sometimes miss that P bass simplicity. First loves and all that...

My first around a year ago was a Gold Tone GT MicroBass fretted 23" scale. Then I ordered a custom 21" scale fretless u-bass, which took about 4 months to make and another 3 months before I got it functional with a pickup and preamp, now it's my go to gig bass because it fits so well with the ukulele group I play with. But I do like the 22" scale Les Paul guitar to bass conversion I did while waiting for the custom, and then the custom 22" scale Telecaster style made in Michigan, plus the two solid body 21" bass ukes I'm having modified, and just this last week the mini P-bass I'm having painted sea foam green. Nice assortment if I do say so myself.

My first bass was a 1963 Gibson EBO made in September of that year and I bought it new in early '64, still have it a play it out.
This year I bought a Epi JC bass and a D. Lakin P bass. I really like them both and take them to my practice and gigs. I play mainly
Classic Rock and Blues. Everyone in the band is so happy however when I play my old Gibson. I think partly because it is old but mainly
because I still have it and it is a one owner bass.

My first bass was an Epiphone Thunderbird. I have 2 ESP standards's now, a Vintage PJ and an Amaze Jazz.
Same 1st bass for me a Univox Violin bass in green. Had it for a year and was stolen from my 1st apartment. Been through many but my Sadowsky Metro is my main player now and can't see myself ever changing.

First bass was a 73 Pbass bought around 1989, from a trading post for under $300. Main bass today is a Status S2 5 string
My first bass was a Squier Affinity P when I was 13. The action was a mile high but I didn't know any better, so I played it that way for years. Sadly don't have it anymore. 15 years later my main bass is now a Geddy Lee Jazz with some mods (black pick guard, Seymour Duncan Basslines pickups) 
My first was an unmarked violin Hofner copy. It was twangy as all get out, but we write songs that it fit with. Sort of gave us a distinctive sound. I believe it's hanging in a buddie's garage these days...
Now I have the EBMM Sterling in my avatar as my main with a Yamaha trbx504 as my back up. I will be purchasing a beautiful P I found in a shop as soon as my situation allows.
