What was your first bass guitar?

Chalk up another for the Epiphone Accu Bass. It's still my only bass but I will never part with it. It NEVER goes out of tune. I hav tuned it once sinc I strung it with flats. It is also a very versatile bass for me. I just got back from a friends where we were jamming out country all night long (I hat country.). I also found out I am a great country bassist.... Pardon me while I go vomit.

I thought I was the only one! Honestly, I've never seen another Accu Bass, or known anyone else that owned an Accu Bass. Wow...

Yeah me too. I thought I was the only one too. Everyone makes fun of me for it cause no on has heard of it or seen one. But I love it. I love the headstock. It has the best headstock ever! We must be one of the Accu Bass Elite!

BTW, what is an AccuBass?

It's an Epiphone knock off of the P-Bass. The funniest part is that Fender made the Precision bass, and the Epiphone is such a knockoff that it even kind of takes the name, being the Accu-Bass. (As in, really accurate... or, precise... bwahahaha) It's probabaly the cheapest bass Epiphone makes, but it's still pretty cool. And, as was said, it has a damn cool headstock.

My first bass was a lotus as well. It was from the seventies and I bought it for $75 w/ hard case. My schools Jazz Band director sold it to me about a two years ago and I still have it. It was an off white color and horribly chipped until I got a badass paint job on it. Now it looks cool but is pretty crappy and I still use it.

My first bass was a MIA Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass. I had the money and I just didn't want to go the "Squier" route. I find myself picking up the entry level stuff when I visit the local stores to try to see what I missed. I don't knock anyone that has owned any of the entry level stuff. I'm just thankful that I had other options.

My first bass was a piece o crap samick p-bass and man did it suck... but I bought it when I was in sophmore in highschool b/c I wante to play bass. After playing violin for 5 years, trumpet for 7, and singing,. I picked up the bass. I still sing as it is my major instrument in acquiring my Ba In music... but bass is my secondary instrument. Oh yeah. but I have a steinberger and a MM Stingray 5... Kinda wanna get a pedulla Jazz bass or a G&L L 2500 bass.. but that will be later in my young life..

Peace
