What was your first ever bass amp?

I tried to gig it. I needed a new amp.
Got the Ashdown MAG 300h with the 410deep cab. Been my primary ever since. If I could add a matching 115 cab I'd be happy

The first bass amp I ever had was a Peavey Basic 40. It was a Christmas present from my parents and my dad helped me put casters on it since it was such a heavy 40 watt beast. That was around 89-90 I guess.

Prior to that I was playing through a 10 watt Gorilla guitar amp that I bought at a pawn shop for $25.

Mine was a brand spankin' new 1965 Ampeg SB-12. I loved that amp. I traded it in on a new Drip Cap Bassman and 2 2x12 vertical cabs. Then on to Sunn ...... Ahh those were the days , ........now get offa my lawn!

That would be this fine young specimen:

"T-POWER" which I believe is a Sears brand amp. Got it used in 1990. It has been demoted to guitar duty....practices, not gigs. Sadly, the grill damage is not from a moment of musical passion, it happened during transport. It sounded like crap back then and it sucks way worse now, yet somehow I've had it all these years. If only I still had that red sparkle Hondo P-Bass that my Dad bought it with....

1978 Orange overdrive with 4X 12 celestion g 12 h30 bought it used in 1992 for a great price cause tube amps that time were out of fashion.
I still use it hard and never been betrayed.

My first was a Vox Essex. I blew up the amp a little later but I still have it. I rerouted the input jacks straight to the speakers and use it as just a speaker cabinet now on occasion. Rarely though since I have so many others.

A 15 watt Crate amp that came with the Crate bass pack my mom bought me for Christmas a thousand years ago. Luckily, I got a 100 watt Ampeg BA115 seven months later.

The first I owned was a 1980's Marshall 60 w 1 x 15 combo, solid state. Not that great tone-wise but it had comfy recessed handles that made moving it fairly painless.

The year was 1991. I had two Peavey TNT combos. One had a bad amp, so I drilled a hole in back and used it as an extension cab.

I got my first when I was like 15 in 1975. It was a really cool Kustom 200 with 2-15's with the blue sparkle roll and pleat. I wish I still had that thing, it was a great piece of gear!

Peavey TKO-80. Still owned, tuned several aspects of it (and my other Peavey combos -TKO 75 & TNT 115-) such as switchable piezo tweeter, some better op amps in the pre, camo fabric all around, etc. Trusty and loud gadgets for bar gigs.

I stumbled into a music shop way back when, and for $300 i walked out with a early 70"s Fender Bassman Head(all tubes, what a guitar amp) washburn bass and a cab loaded with 15" JBL and 1 free lesson...i did not even know what i had....and recently back in Nov. and this has changed my whole sound to what i have been looking for sound wise since day 1) in our local craigslist, i was watching my fantasy football so computer was on, clicked on CL for a sec and an Ampeg for sale " just posted, I called and it was a pf500 &pf115 flip top cab...i get there its in the box !! has receipt for $749 from GC..i listen to him and he needed $400 to buy this upright , so i go 400 right now ? and he was so happy,,,i loaded up..got home..plugged in..and wow !! the bite and growl and cut thru the mix sound..right there..no pedals..it has reinvented me...but my fender bassman its on top of a 4 x12 cab and man do i got a killer guitar rig..!!

70s Peavey Mark 200 watt head w a 2x15 cab. One speaker replaced with a sweet radio shack speaker (never needed the "fuzz" channel with that speaker in there). In my first band we ran bass and vocals through it.
