What were the last RECORDS you bought

If i see a copy of Heavy Weather or 8:30 in a store, i think i'd have to buy it without question. Heavy Weather was the first Weather Report CD i ever bought.

Fun Side tidbit: I bought [on CD] Jaco's self titled & Heavy Weather while in Ft. Lauderdale on a choir trip. Huge impact, once i see them-i shall buy them. The hard part is finding the albums locally [on vinyl].

The first record I bought myself (im only 16). Was a little under a year ago. I bought The Jerry Hahn Brotherhood s/t . It is a great record released in 1970. Mike Finnigan was the organist and lead singer. Great soul voice. He later went on to play with Hendrix and has been the organist and musical director with CSN&Y for awhile.

Remember this odd trend for a little while during the vinyl-to-CD-transistion around '85 - '90? The record companies I guess during a vain attempt to try to keep selling 33 1/2 PL "records", begain marketing something called: "half-speed masters". Sure they were still vinyl records, but with the distinction of being recorded from the 'masters' via a differant process. I bought several of those in 1987-88 and then that was it.. never bought any more vinyl since then.

I do recall however the quality of said 'half-speed masters' was noticably better than regular production run 33 1/2 RPM LP's.

"The Cinderella Theory" by George Clinton back around '89. I really wanted to love it, as I am a HUGE P-Funk fan, but The Funk was in serious decline, and this LP just didn't cut it. Wish I could say that my last record purchase was a classic, because I have very fond memories of LPs.:rollno:

Pretty good mix of new and second hand stuff I picke dup over the last couple of months, this goes on top of the 200+ albums I got from my Dad last year of mainly classic rock and metal of the mid-late Seventies and early Eighties.
