What words do you dislike ?

oh, I'm a real admirer of the english language. Especially whatever way it is used, no matter how offensive.
My wife has a real problem with the word "cluster". It actually makes her feel sick to her stomach. She thinks she was hypnotized and it is some kind of trigger word. I don't know but when anyone says it the look on her face is instantaneous.

The concept of being offended over mere words or language has always cracked me up.
I'm occasionally humoured or mildly peeved by some people's butchering of language, and their total lack of education...but mere words themselves I can't seem to take offense to...nor do I even understand why someone would choose to get offended by a word...a simple alphagram.
Because it's nothing but a analog representation, a symbol; a collection of assorted letters. To have something like that "offend" you requires active participation on your part. You have to wish to be offended by these things, as they obviously pose no inherent tangible danger or harm, in reality. So why in the hell would anyone actually CHOOSE to be offended?
I also find it remarkably ironic that in the "Land of free speech" we seem to have so many people offended by words.
You now have the "F word", the "N word", and the "C word". We as humans can't even SAY these words out loud anymore, as if lava would flow from the skies at the mere mention of them...even in jest, parody, or 3rd party reference, because some people CHOOSE get so offended by them.
If you CHOOSE to be offended, CHOOSE to let someone else upset you, EMPOWER them in this manner...LITERALLY GIVE SOMEONE THE POWER TO OFFEND, UPSET, AND HARM YOU WITH SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS WORDS, then you are an IDIOT.
Why the hell would you want empower others to hurt you like that?
It's STUPID.

Robust. Specifically in regards to a "robustness test". Also, "perform a gap analysis", meaning "examine the differences between a few different items". Those and a handful of other business terms.
In regularspeak the phrase "that is so random" irks me. No, sugar, it was not random. However different it may have seemed to you, I cognitively thought that one out.

Alas, it is now. See, that's the terrible thing about language...right or wrong (like "ain't" for instance), if it's used enough, it officially enters the dictionary.
