Custom shop P.
One of the new rosewood neck P or J's easily.
Interesting. I'm a Lakland player, but for 50% a Fender Custom Shop 51 P-bass would be tempting.
But I reckon I'd go with my first instinct - a Bassman 100T head and 410 half-stack. Those things sound incredible, but they're just a little bit too expensive. If they could beat the Ampeg V4B on price, I'd be all over it.
If I had to buy a Fender bass for me, I'd buy the most expensive one and sell it without unboxing it, then go get something else. But if it is for any Fender gear, I'd buy my son a nice guitar like a Jag, DuoSonic, Mustang omething along those lines. Or maybe a Tele for me. Love their guitars but I have other preferences in bass.
Probably a Jazz bass to have a second/backup.
I’d probably grab one of those cute little duo-sonic guitars
I'd replace my MIM Classic '70s Jazz that I recently gave to my son for his 18th birthday.
And I'd do something basic like a 4 string american passive bass and the 5 string equivalent in active. Unless you already have a fender. I have an american p and J so i'd get 5 string versions of both. or a guitar.
I think i'd take a j-bass pro 5 nat.
I have inexpensive taste. A Squier Classic Vibe 60's P-bass or Vintage Modified P/J.
I would never just buy a Fender instrument because there was a discount. Fender quality varies too much for me but if I had the opportunity to play a bunch of Fender instruments and choose the one I liked best that would be ideal.
An American elite jazz in champange/maple block neck. And then a few 410s and a head. If it was a one shot deal. Maybe I'd let that Jscriv guy from talk bass use the discount too. Lol
What that guy said, American Elite Jazz Bass.
Does the Jackson custom shop count? Because id love me a reverse body/reverse headstock rhoads in gloss black with matte black bevels, H/S pup config, and just one abalone sharkfin on the 12th.
For half off, I'd personally go with an American Elite Jazz.
if it were me, i'd get a rumble 500 combo and an aerodyne - i've always wanted one, but never gotten around to buying one.
I've got the Aerodyne, so I feel like I should get a P Bass of some kind.
1) Flea Active Jazz
2) Jaco Artist model (non-relic)
An NOS seminole red 63 avri precision if the factory has one laying around
SB300 (Super Bassman) and a pair of 410 neos.
