What would you call yourself?

I call myself a bass guitarist. The cadence of that particular set of words appeals to me and it allows me to proudly put the emphasis on BASS. "Bassist," when spoken aloud, is a little to whispy to deliver the proper gravity of the job. "Bass player," to me, has a tentative, neophyte quality to it when used to describe oneself. When used to describe someone else, it has the most pejorative ring to it out of all three, like you are not referring to a specialist. Bass Guitarist is the most rock and roll. Yes, I have thought about this a lot in my life.

I'll sometimes say bassist, but you're right. Its just too "ess-y" sounding. Bass guitarist ftw.

Would you call yourself a bassist? A Bass Guitarist? A Bass Player? Or anything related to that in that matter. What would you call yourself as? Personally I'd like to this myself as a bass player.
I'm a musician. I play bass guitar, upright bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keys, sing lead and harmony vocals, know theory, read standard notation, and have more than four decades of experience. Any other appelation would be short-changing myself.
