What would your last ever bass purchase be?

If money were no object, it be either a Sadowsky Modern or a UV 70 five string. If money were REALLY no object, it would be both, even though that undermines the idea of this thread!
Money is no object (not bragging here, whittling down the herd, sold 1 bass, 2 more to go). Proceed went for a deposit on a DINGWALL SJ5XXX I've been planning for quite a while. I ordered everything I wanted, color (transparent white), body wood (Swamp Ash ), neck wood (maple), fretboard wood (maple) hardware color (black) 3 P tone PUPs, 3 series/parallel toggle switches. It will be expensive, but I have high hopes based on owning 2 Dingwalls in the past. In any case, this will most likely be my last purchase. Every other bass I have is either a collectible, or a keeper. And I already have the best bass I have ever owned or played (Roscoe Signature SKB 3005), my CS NOS '59 P is also the best 4 I've ever played. The Dingwall is an insurance policy against the day I can no longer handle the 35" scale, it is 35" to 32" No sign I'll get there anytime soon, but then I won't get the Dingwall for 34 weeks or so, so you never know

Mine would be a very high-end Warmoth build, as I already have a "once in a lifetime" bass, which is a Warwick limited edition. I'm very happy with my 4-figures (new purchase price) basses, and like to play around with modding cheapies, gigging them until they have thrice paid for themselves, and repeating the process.
A Custom Shop Fender jazz bass with: a Northern Ash body (weighing less than 9.4 lbs.) , maple fretboard, Badass bridge, Hipshot Tuners, 70s spec single coils and a custom Bartolini preamp (same specs as the preamp in Marcus Miller's personal basses).
IMO, nothing sounds better than a good Fender jazz bass.

Do I get to keep the stuff I already have, or would this be my only bass? If I could keep what I have, Probably a fancy looking Cliff Bordwell 6 string custom. If I could only have one bass, then Probably a cherry picked early 60s Jazz
A near impossible question to answer, really, considering gas never dies for some. But if you mean the last bass I would get ever, right now, then for me it be a ric because I don't have one of those yet. Got pretty much everything else I want other than that.
Hopefully the '88 G&L USA L-2000 from last weekend, but, ah... Who am I kidding?
Well, 'you know who' has informed me that my last bass purchased was my last ever. Fortunately, that bass is one for the ages. I'll be just fine.

I think I may have already purchased it.
For a long, long time, I thought that it would a vintage Jazz from the year I was born. I can finally afford it, so money is not really an object. Earlier this year, I went through the motions of tracking down a few nice examples in anticipation of finally making a purchase.
But then I saw a 30-year-old Ibanez that I've been lusting after ever since I started playing bass. For whatever reason, that "cheap" instrument appealed to me more than the vintage Jazz, so I grabbed it. I've been playing it every day for the last three weeks.
For a long, long time, I thought that it would a vintage Jazz from the year I was born. I can finally afford it, so money is not really an object. Earlier this year, I went through the motions of tracking down a few nice examples in anticipation of finally making a purchase.

If money is no option, for me it would most likely would be an Ibanez sr505 in a blackberry burst and if I want to, a schecter stiletto custom in either the natural finish or the vampire red satin. I've been thinking about that recently because I have owned many different basses in the past and of all the basses I've tried out, I like schecter stiletto basses and Ibanez soundgear basses the most. I also own a yamaha trbx305 which I thought sounded awesome and is a keeper in my arsenal. other then that, I declare that schecter and Ibanez basses to be 2 of my main bass guitars.
That's easy. It would be a USA G&L L3600! Of course finding someone that could sell me one would be the hard part.

Already happened earlier this year: Dingwall Z2. Had not bought anything in 22 years (that's how happy I was), and the Ding is simply better. End of story.
Will keep building though, caught that bug real bad - bu that's not buying
