Quite a few I'd guess.Imagine how many UFO sightings the B2 Bomber is responsible for.
Summer 1988, saw a science program on PBS, titled something like "What Happened to the Flying Wing?". It talked about the flying wing type of aircraft design, how the Nazi government had built some early prototypes but then had transferred the engineers to the V2 rocket program. How the US Air Force had experimented with the design in the 1950s, killing a couple of test pilots before abandoning the idea. The show basically said they thought that using modern computer technology the stability issues of the flying wing design should be solvable, and the USAF should resurrect the idea - and they were being kind of stupid not to do so. Pretty interesting program.
And 4-5 months later, the USAF unveiled the flying wing B-2s and, oh, they'd been working on it for about 14 years..... Didn't see PBS rerun that program.
