The U.S. Congress has officially determined that UFOs are a "reality". And after decades of collecting material I'm convinced these things exist, but still doubt they're from "outer space". Rather, they seem to represent some mode of psycho-physicality that is not understood. Close encounters, and even mass sightings, often resemble waking dreams where laws of nature are suspended, yet some sort of materiality obtains. For my money, Jacques Vallée has the best notions.

Seems to be a live stream of the UAP House Hearing.

The aptly named Mrs Luna is questioning witnesses now :

If I'm testifying on camera I find a suit that somewhat fits.

Watched a little. One weird question/statement is about airlines putting customers in danger due to these crazy magic craft flying about. Again: How do you get to another planet or solar system or galaxy and then get into a fender bender with a local? If aliens can both get here and run into jets then these are not top pilots; these are little green dudes getting space drunk and crashing light-years away with little recollection of what happened. Just my take.

This very question was raised, and answered.

to paraphrase :

You can be intelligent, and still have your car break down, or get into a collision / crash.

If you're flying a lot of missions, mechanical failures can happen, and a small percentage of flights end in "Mission Failure".

Some interesting characters, and personalities involved in that session. Kind of mind blowing that it happened at all.

To be a fly on the wall in the "behind closed doors" session...

UFOs are sometimes known as "teasers".

Teasers
are usually rich kids with nothing to do. They cruise around looking for planets that haven't made interstellar contact yet and buzz them, meaning that they find some isolated spot with very few people around, then land right by some poor unsuspecting soul whom no one's going to believe and then strut up and down in front of him wearing silly antennas on their head and making beep beep noises. -- Ford Prefect, from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglass Adams

In the mid 1970's, my girlfriend, now my wife had a very close encounter with two UFO's while camping near Yucca Valley, CA. There were at least 50 other people in the campsite that witnessed this also. The encounter lasted for over 20 minutes and we were able to get as close as 40-50 yards to one of the craft as it hovered about 10 feet off the ground. The second craft hovered above and behind it, was stationary about 75 feet off the ground. Both craft looked identical, were about 40 feet in diameter and were light gray in color. Each craft had a red beacon on top and two white lights on the bottom. From time to time, the craft that was hovering 10 feet off the ground would aim its lower white lights at us and illuminate us. Neither craft made any noise and were completely silent. As we tried to get even closer to the craft, it would suddenly disappear and reappear in a blink of the eye around 50 yards to our left or right. This happened several times. That said, I was thinking for some reason that the craft would not allow us to get any closer as might be emitting something that may be harmful to us. It was both scary and fascinating at the same time. After 20 minutes or so, we then watched both craft slowly leave the scene by flying over a ridge line and into the next valley out of our view.
So think what you want, but I know what we experienced and it is just as clear in my mind today as if had happened yesterday. Anyway, just sayin.

Who knows?

We live in a 3 dimensional world. Length, width and depth.

Who knows! There might be 4 or more different dimensions with "intelligent life" right in our faces and we can't even see it.

I'm just gonna deal with the here and now and nothing else matters.

Fly to Planet Earth to "buzz around" and then do nothing? UFOs? I doubt it!
