Whatcha get for Christmas?

25 year old Carvin set neck LB60 w/ active electronics. Pretty neat! Although I have to admit to have picked it out off CL myself. Guess I paid for it with my own money too. And I've been playing it daily since picking it up a week ago.

I guess that means it's not really a Christmas present. Although I used that as "you don't have to get me anything else" justification to my wife...

As a physically disabled person, I could never afford an SR750. However, my parents saw the huge improvement in most areas of my life, brought by a Squier Jaguar.

So, thanks mom and dad, you're awesome. :hyper:

OK...so we started alittle early.
I get all my best presents early because I buy them myself:D
I don't know anyone that would buy me a used Roscoe for Christmas. I can say that my wife is cool with it all and I keep her happy too. So I'm not all selfish...just alittle...

Let's see the pictures!!

After 12 years I've resigned and started a new job. I was very fortunate enough to be able to cash in 5 weeks of my long service leave entitlement and transfer a good portion of it to my new job. Using that money and Christmas and my 40th birthday in early January as excuses I've bought an EA Doubler amp, Barefaced midget 12 cab, Grove 5 string Hula bass (ala Kala u-bass) and a big band playalong book/cd and a jazz standards playalong book/cd. The books I have under the tree, the amp is on the courier truck the rest are being made and I'm trying to be patient while waiting for them. With children's school fees, home loan etc it will likely be 6-8 years before I buy another amp/cab/bass. But this lot will make for one very nice Christmas/Birthday.

Christmas has yet to come, so we'll see what else I get (tentatively I know I've got a Vox ac4tv guitar amp coming my way when we get home though!), but yesterday I got a Warwick P-Nut II. Even though I bought it for myself, that only happened because my lovely fiance saw how happy I was playing it and knew I'd be kicking myself if I didn't at least entertain the thought, so she was the one who started justifying it and telling me how we could make it happen. She's the best!
