My wife had never seen "True Romance" so we watched that on Friday. I had forgotten that the cast in that movie is astounding! Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken, Bronson Pinchot, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Rapaport, Saul Rubinek, Conchata Ferrell, James Gandolfini, Chris Penn, and Tom Sizemore. Crazy!

And Tarantino wrote the script! Also wrote and directed Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, of course, but he also came up with the story (though he didn't write the screenplay) for Natural Born Killers. He was untouchable in this period, IMO.

I mentioned that to my wife afterwards, and I'm glad Tony Scott directed it. I think QT might have made it even more over-the-top than it already was.

The McDonald/Take 6 Don't Worry Baby was my favorite part of the show.
I watched the show with good headphones and Bassist/MD Mike Elizondo and the band sounded great.

I still don't "get it". I generally like the Cohen Brothers' stuff but this did nothing for me.
