We’ve been working on Breaking Bad. Season 5, Episode 6 is next. Yes, we are few years behind (lol) and watched Better Call Saul first.
I’m slowly working on the Rockford Files. It’s so interesting to see actors recycled as various characters in these shows. It’s not like you could binge watch them back in the day. In real time, it could have been 6 weeks since the actor was on.

I suggest not watching the movie once you're done with the show. Watch the last episode and leave it be. People liked the movie, and it didn't suck. There are some great scenes. But it didn't add anything. If anything, it took away, IMO.
Agreed. It was fun but wasn't really necessary, and I had no desire to watch again. I thought it would have been much more interesting to start the plot where it ended.
A TV station on cable is having a William Castle horror movie marathon today. Had it on all day in the background as my new bass had priority today, even over my regular housewife duties LOL. For those that don't know, Castle promoted gimmicks for his horror movies in movie theatres. Also made competent B horror movies. I would've hung out with him LOL.
Currently on, The Tingler. Loved the horror and scifi movies on Saturday afternoons, after morning cartoons, when I was a kid.

I loved Breaking Bad but I haven't seen the movie, and I never got past like episode 2 of Better Call Saul. I'm not really sure why...I really gotta give it another chance. Though maybe I'll skip the movie...
Better Call Saul started off telling two stories. One was Saul's and the other was Mike's and they were separate. Eventually Gus gets involved and all the stories come together in about the middle of the show. But the stuff in the beginning with just Saul was unbearably boring to me. The law firm and Kim and Saul's schemes and nonsense. It wasn't entertaining. But at the same time Mike is involved in all kinds of stuff and it's great. Then eventually Saul gets involved in the same stuff, and the show got worse. He's great as a side character. I don't like him as a lead.
And El Camino sucked. I watched bits and pieces yesterday. It's not good. Didn't need to happen. Spoiled the legacy of one of the greatest series finales of all time.

Been watching a lot of films I missed first time around & have been on a Woody Allen binge.
Besides his obvious comedic movies I have really enjoyed Match Point & Another Woman. Outstanding , both of them as dramas.
I highly recommend viewing them even if you’re not an Allen fan. He appears in neither .

I just re-discovered the series Designated Survivor on Netflix. I didn't watch it when it first aired, but it's pretty interesting!
Still have the TV on the station showing horror movies. Just watched one called "Night Tide" (1961, b/w). Never heard of it, but I enjoyed it, a well done B movie. Has Dennis Hopper in his first starring role. He's a young Navy sailor that falls in love with a girl that performs as a mermaid in a carnival.
Not horror, I'd say atmospheric romance fantasy. It was done well enough, level dialogue, and turned in a direction I didn't expect.
According to Wiki, it was inspired by some lines from Edgar Allen Poe's poem "Annabel Lee".
"And so, all the night tide, I lie down by the side
of my darling --my darling-- my life and my bride
In her sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea."
Even had some cool cat hep jazz from jazz flautist Paul Horn and his band in a jazz club scene at the start of the movie.

I saw Saw X. I've seen two or three of the other ones. I vaguely recall some of them having interesting plot lines. This one was surprisingly enjoyable. The torture porn was very much toned down. I laughed out loud at one point when a guy has to cut open his skull and remove a few ounces of brain matter to survive the trap. It was hilarious. The Saw guy is the protagonist in this one. It was interesting. He's very good. The script was stupid. It was a decent movie.

Every once in a while, I enjoy watching an old silent movie. Last night, 10-19-23, I watched an old 1929 Alfred Hitchcock movie, The ManXman.

We just finished it...Very interesting and we had no idea about his story...Didn't follow football/ soccer through that period.

I'm not sure how I missed this one in 2015 when it came out. All star cast and filmed in my neck of the woods. Anthony Hopkins and Julia Stiles are both folks I enjoy to watch acting. Ray Liotta as well as Hal Holbrook.
I am glad I watched this one.
