Not as twee as the OA, but close. Quite good at rare times, but so off-puttingly obvious-earnest.

Beverly Hills Cop.
That was a fun trip back in time, and a movie I enjoyed. While I was watching that movie, memories of my life at the time were coming back to me. Kind of fun to reflect back on how different my life is now and how different I am.

Love After Lockup.
I learned about this show after a buddy's friend hired someone who was on the show as the convict who was recently released. That hire turned into a disaster. I found the episode he mentioned, then watched a few more.
Oh my, if I didn't know about the real situation I'd say this show is 100% made up. I can't believe people are this naive. It's sad.

certainly not light viewing I surprised myself by making it through the series

it’s a convoluted story
Not for the squeamish
Cool clothes and cars
Great funky soundtrack
Changing the lead actress as the plot reveals was interesting

I watched SALTBURN a couple nights ago. Inspired me to watch the directors first film , PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN last night .

PYM was well written & acted. Had enough surprises along the way & amazing conclusion.

Top Gun: Maverick. Honestly, I've never been a big fan of the original. I hate over-the-top machismo movies. But Maverick is pretty damn good.
