A Lifetime movie about gospel legend Mahalia Jackson. The woman playing Mahalia (Danielle Brooks) is a powerhouse.
The new Roadhouse was very bad. All the fights were CGI. I thought they looked awful when it was happening and I read it was an intentional choice to CGI all the fights. Bad movie. Really bad.
Godzilla x Kong (not Godzilla v or vs, but x for some reason) was okay. The monster fights were good. The story and dialogue was ridiculous.

Our son and I watched "Life of Brian" on Saturday since it's Easter time and it's been a while. Still hilarious.
"Risen" - a very interesting and well-done version of the crucifixion/resurrection story:
Life and Beth on Hulu. I know Amy Schumer can be polarizing, but I'm enjoying this one.
Glad I did. GOT alumni used their track record to go outside the usual rules. Traces of Neal Stephenson and Kafka in the story. And lots of money to make it look really nice.
Not bad, but from everything I've read, the books are more up my alley. I'm planning on reading them here soon.
