I can’t believe curb your enthusiasm is over. Last episode was really funny.
An Officer and a Gentleman was playing in the theater by me so I went to go see it. Never saw it before. It's an odd movie. Was I meant to like Richard Gere's character? His dad was a bit of a douche and they lived somewhat irresponsible lives in various naval bases and then Richard Gere wants to better himself and join the Navy, and that's why I'm supposed to like him? He's a prick to women, barely loyal to his friends, and generally an unsavory character. It was cooling seeing an 80s movie in the theater though. I've never done that.
I watched the various re-releases of the original Star Wars movies in theaters, but yeah, I haven't watched another 80s movie in a theater since, well, the 80s.
What was really cool was watching 60's movies in the theater in the 60's. The popcorn was much better back then.
Mayo-Naze! Gossett Jr was great in that one. Isn't Gere just altogether unlikeable? YMMV
Binged 1st season of Resident Alien, really good. I'll do the same with season 2 after taking a breath. Found FUBAR on the YouTube, watched with my daughter last nite. So over the top! We'll try to watch FUBAR 2 (which I've seen I think) tonight.

IIRC, that's on Prime, hopefully it will make up for them cancelling The Peripheral, which was a great show.
I enjoyed the Peripheral. Hate they cancelled it before it really had a chance to go anywhere. I hate that they do this. There have been so many shows that really did not take off to true greatness until Season 2 or even after.
One of my favorite shows ever has been The Leftovers. It was decent for Season 1, but it absolutely took off to another level for Season 2 and 3.
The books are great and the show held up to them. I was (am) ticked about that one.
