Whatcha watching?

Watched the film Snowpiercer (2013) today. Have always liked that movie. Besides being a fine movie, IMO, I like projects with Tilda Swinton
Have you seen this?

The Silver Chalice (1954)

I watched it on TCM, and it is so surrealistically bad that I couldn't look away! It may be my favorite "so bad it's good" movie now. It tries to be a Biblical/Roman epic, and fails magnificently!

The look of the movie is so bizarre that it reminds me of the weird "1950s Super Panavision 70" A.I.-generated trailers that have become popular on YouTube.

This movie was released in the same decade as The Robe, Quo Vadis, Ben-Hur, and The Ten Commandments, and it absolutely pales in comparison. But I still love it!

The First Omen on Hulu. I wasn’t expecting much from this one since it’s a prequel to the original, but it was good. Also had quite a bit of disturbing imagery and gore, with one scene I won’t forget for awhile. Recommend if you like horror.

Last week I made some Raiders of the Lost Ark reference and my wife mentioned she'd NEVER SEEN IT!!!

So last night we watched it. It was still awesome. I think she "sorta liked" it.

I had a similar experience. Last week we were invited over to have lunch with friends. It was a Mediterranean themed lunch, and they had dates. When one of the hosts offered me a date I said 'no thanks. I saw what happened to the monkey.'
They had no idea what I was talking about.

My " have fun storming the castle" quote doesn't quite land with younger generation.
