Whatcha watching?

Last week I made some Raiders of the Lost Ark reference and my wife mentioned she'd NEVER SEEN IT!!!

So last night we watched it. It was still awesome. I think she "sorta liked" it.
Just "sorta liked" it....

Reminds me of Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory when she watched it the first time with Sheldon Cooper. Then told him of the "glaring story problem".

Your wife just didn't wanna dishearten you LOL

Despite what Amy says, I still dig the movie.

My " have fun storming the castle" quote doesn't quite land with younger generation.
One of co-workers mentioned recently quitting smoking. I immediately said "looks like I picked the wrong time to quit sniffing glue." No one got it. I was...disappointed, heart-broken, something in between...

I will be majorly bummed if they leave it like this.
Well it took a few months after season 1 finished to even commit to a season 2. I think it's great. But maybe the title refers to it's place on the lowest common denominator bell curve.

Anyway. We all know evil is for children. And the best stories are about noble intentions conflicted by circumstances. So after 2 eps of S1, I m glad to be watching the Responder. Not exactly masterpiece production. But so far it's a grown up story.

I had a similar experience. Last week we were invited over to have lunch with friends. It was a Mediterranean themed lunch, and they had dates. When one of the hosts offered me a date I said 'no thanks. I saw what happened to the monkey.'
They had no idea what I was talking about.

My wife was upset about the monkey thing- and I was all like- "he's a nazi monkey- he literally "heil'd," he narc'd them out at least 3 times. He was a bad monkey."

Recently watched Captain Ron (1992). Hadn't seen it in awhile. Silly, fun movie. Kurt Russel and Martin Short.

Accidentally ran into an original Star Trek, Mudd's Women (1966), last night. Where he helps 3 women marry lonely settlers. Harcourt Fenton Mudd - Interstellar con man and space pimp :). I always watch the original series when it's on. Even though I've seen 'em numerous times already LOL

Back when it was first running on TV I watched all of them. In later years, when I came across some some episodes again I was really surprised to find that they had been colorized........

I love it.
I drop that one all the time. Every now and then I'll get a wink or head nod from someone within earshot who gets it, then I feel better.
