Whatcha watching?

Black Narcissus.
The 1947 version. Oh my, this was a good one. I'm going to watch it again tonight.

Just as good the second time. This go around I picked up more on the secondary characters and surroundings of the sets. Quite an amazing use of paintings to give the appearance they really were in the Himalayan mountains.

Accidentally found videos on Youtube of call center scammers in India getting scammed hard. Not just verbal jousting, but hacking into the their office/building security cameras, calling them by their first names, re-sending live feeds of the scammers back onto the scammers computer screens, getting their personal info and profit sheets, etc. Eff's with 'em hard!

Man, I wish I had these kind of tech skills.

Here's one, a bit over 18 minutes. For as many scam calls as I get, these are worth watching.

If you like that kind of stuff, or maybe just want to watch more of it, check out Mark Rober. He's the guy who invented the glitter bomb. He got back at the scammers in India in one of his videos.

...an old sci-fi movie, "The Monolith Monsters."
Ha! I watched that yesterday. I'd never heard of it before, but it was the type of movie I'd watch in the early afternoon when Saturday morning cartoons were done for the day. I was born the same year the movie was made LOL

FWIW, on TV now are the old Adventures of Superman (George Reeves). This episode is an early one with Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane. Noel Neill took over that role later.

I had crushes on both Lois Lanes.:)

This movie's great. I haven't seen it since it came out almost 30 years ago. It's on prime video.

Ripley on Netflix is excellent. Amazing cinematography and writing, and I haven't seen anything else like it lately. Based on "The Talented Mr. Ripley" source material. Highly recommend if you like a slow burn noir drama.

Just watched this for a second time (this time with my son). So good and so well done in every aspect. Absolutely on the stand out cinematography and writing - as well as production design, acting, casting down to bit parts, etc - everything is great.
