Whatcha watching?

Watched Dune, part 2, a second time. Just because. Part 1 introduced alot of elements from Dune, like Mentats, Spacing Guild and their Navigators, some other things. Part 2 removed those elements, which I think contributed to the better flow of part 2.

Finished Gen V. Thought it was excellent. There will be a season 2, so yay LOL.

Channel surfing for background TV revealed a childhood gem from my past. March of the Wooden Soldiers (Babes in Toyland) 1934 with Laurel and Hardy. Just not the same enamoring, endearing effect as many decades past LOL. Still fun to see some of it again. FWIW, the Three Little Pigs were creepy looking LOL.

On the hunt for Zorro, the Gay Blade (1981) with George Hamilton. Always enjoyed that funny movie but haven't seen it in a long time. I've added it to my list of films/series to keep checking for. The list is also convenient to hand out to wife and kids for Christmas and Birthday suggestions LOL.

I don't think I've seen that since it came out, but I remember it being very funny.

It was fun. There used to be plot twists and interesting character moments. It's kinda like Game of Thrones. For years I waited for the ice zombie invasion and it went nowhere. Now I'm waiting for Homelander to actually do something.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan dragged me through the last seasons of The Walking Dead. I'm giving him a chance to work miracles.

Watched The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent tonight. Pardon the pun, but Nick Cage is a national treasure.

He's had about 90 seconds of screen time so far? I don't know how much more he'll get. I think he's mostly there for the thumbnail. This season sucks so far. Homelander's revenge was entertaining. Everything else has been boring and forgettable.

I have to admit I've been a little let down too. I hope it gets better. I have a feeling A-Train is not long for this world, though.

It would be a pretty standard narrative move to kill him once he sorta becomes a decent person, but this show is all about surprises in the dumbest and crudest ways. Maybe he'll become super evil.

I think the next several episodes will be all filler until a season finale where Homelander does something shocking, but ultimately meaningless, Kimiko will talk, Butcher will drop dead, and then two years will go by till season 5.

Oh, and did/does Butcher have a some sort of snake monster inside him that he puked out and killed the stretchy priest guy? Is that what happened?
