Whatcha watching?

Now that it's all out, I can confidently say that I was not a fan of Daredevil: Born Again. The writing issues were just too apparent, and the story was too all over the place for me given the focus of the previous seasons. That said, I still have hope for Season 2.

Season 2 of The Last of Us has me very excited though. There are choices that I disagree with, but it has immense potential!

As a side note, I feel that there is no better place to ask: Anyone have good horror movie recommendations? My wife wants to watch something new. Not huge on gore fests, but willing to give anything with a good plot a chance!
Two of my favorite (older) flicks: "The Changeling" (with George C. Scott) and "Ghost Story" (1981, starring Alice Krige, John Houseman, Fred Astaire, Melvyn Douglas, and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.).

EDIT: And we agree on "Daredevil: Born Again". Season 1 was very slow to develop and only got good at the end of the season. Here's hoping Season 2 will be better.

This movie was very good. A little too far up its own ass. More style than substance. They made a vampire movie without ever really discussing vampires in any meaningful way, which isn't really necessary but it came off as a bit lazy. Good movie though.

The UFL.

The merging of the XFL and the USFL. In spite of the fact that most teams only draw very sparse crowds, it's actually pretty good football. There are none of the cheap gimmicks that plagued the original Vince McMahon-conceived XFL, which was a major joke.

Very not happy with Last of Us. Very.
I’m not familiar with the games, but I’m assuming it does not follow them. I’m guessing some other things regarding the decision. But yeah, mega disappointed.

The game players knew that was coming.

The interactions between Joel and Ellie were the best part. Without that, I'm not sure what they have.

It's really some of the changes that just come off as filler and unnecessary to me. Feels like we could've had a longer first episode like Season 1 and moved on without all of the rushed feelings of S2 episode 1 and dragging feeling of episode 2.

The rest of The Last of Us 2 in the game is so intriguing, I just hope that they try to pace better with better dialogue.

I’m a big fan of artfully slow pacing (Bones and All is a great example). The big set piece was fantastic, but a little more time would have been nice.

They were playing the third Star Wars prequel by me and I saw it last night. It was a delightful movie going experience. It looked fantastic and sounded great. I hate Star Wars but these movies get a bad wrap. They're better than the new ones, but still aren't great.

So Anyway, I saw this on a streaming service a few weeks ago. Timely for the next couple of days.
For this entire movie, GM Kevin Costner keeps getting interrupted every 3 minutes by his girlfriend, the owner, other GMs, players, his mom, and the intern while he selects and bargains for prospects for his NFL team.
You'd think a GM would have more control of his time. ;)
