Whatcha watching?

I watched the John Ford classic, "The Grapes of Wrath", hoping I'm not headed for those days. At least there's no Dust Bowl today.
Given todays technology, a dust bowl is possible, it would just be highly radioactive.
While I’m guilty of helping make such insanity possible, it has only been recently that I felt such madness would ever be a possibility beyond the threat it represented, but I always assumed we had the good sense to never allow overgrown children access to the big red button.
Silly me…. :banghead:

The amazingly terrifying thing is that I've lived 70 years 30 minutes away from the sirens and going out in a blaze (or flash) of glory. Duck and cover drills when I was 7 years old in elementary school. Geez . . .

I saw this movie. It was pretty good. I think it's from a video game? Or another movie? I don't know. It was produced by playstation. It's an effective horror movie. Good pacing. Some laughs. I didn't hate any characters. Not bad at all.

The Accountant 2 sucked. They took everything good about the first one that was subtle and stretched it out and made it cheap and obvious. There was barely a story. Ben Affleck was fine. Whatshisname was fine. The movie seemed like it was written by teenagers. It sucked.

Predator.
I can watch this movie a thousand times, I think I may have by now, and I never get tired of it. This time last night though, there was a new twist. We moved into a new house earlier this month. There is a small half bath near the front door that when you leave the door to the bathroom ajar just right, it creaks and sounds exactly like that sound the Predator makes, the clicking sound. I smile every time I hear it.
Well, last night as I'm sitting there watching Predator, I hear the door creak and I durn near fell off the couch. The timing was impeccable.
I am on the hunt now for some kind of device that will cast those three red lights so I can keep that around the house for fun. If I shine it on someone and they get scared, I know they have seen Predator. :D

I can't remember what I did five minutes ago, but...I was looking for a ballad to sing when I ran across this video, which I first saw in 1981 on this brand new TV show called MTV. What triggered the memory was the guy lifting a glass of water. The guy is Pat McLaughlin, who I thought I'd discovered about 10 years ago. and am still a great fan. "Wrong Number" was written by Allen Toussaint. The idea that Pat had an MTV video back then is still boggling my mind.
