Eternaut was excellent and yes folks outside UK and Argentina or South America don't get the references. I have toured with former soldiers from both sides so get the references, had to explain that to my TV spouse.

I was fascinated by that conflict in middle school for some reason, but was only exposed to the UK side of it.

War is truly hell, no matter the size of a "conflict" both sides have stories to tell that are so rarely heard and even less rarely understood by the media or general public. Not that the oblivion of the general public is a bad thing as my one small taste left me knowing that every war is best avoided. But I do wish that any "hawk" have a solid dose of that hell, it would likely change their tune.

Coach Beard makes Ted Lasso awesome. Overall charming vibe but I really dig the obviously writer roomy lines or plot structures/devices. There are setups/references that don't pay off for episodes or even a season. Really well put together show and a healthy break from a lot of my media intake lately.

This movie was very good. A little too far up its own ass. More style than substance. They made a vampire movie without ever really discussing vampires in any meaningful way, which isn't really necessary but it came off as a bit lazy. Good movie though.

Saw it yesterday. Meh. It was easily a half hour too long. It took forever to set up the story, and nothing happened with the vampires until the last 30 mins or so.

I saw it again and liked it a lot more. I like the set up. Everything up to the part where it goes wild was great. The cinematography is great. The music is great. Hailee Steinfeld is an 11. I liked the relationship between the two Michael B. Jordans. I totally bought them as different characters and their relationship was kinda sweet, for the same person being doubled on screen. I loved it.

It was definitely very well made, and the performances were good. And I appreciate that it was an original idea instead of another remake or sequel. I just couldn’t get into it.
