Whatcha watching?

Body camera footage of police dealing with idiots at traffic stops. Busted tail lights turning into felony charges. I can't get enough. I don't break the law often, but if it's something I did regularly, I'd make sure my car was properly registered and my insurance was paid. Not doing those things just seems like it's asking for trouble.
I'm very glad that criminals tend to be stupid. Makes them easier to catch.

But then their cases get dismissed. I must've watched 30 of these videos over the last couple of days. Resisting arrest charges, spitting on the cop, driving with suspended licenses for years, causing car crashes, stealing thousands of dollars from retail stores......all the videos end with a list of charges and 9 out of 10 all get dismissed. When I watch, first I feel kinda good about my life and the choices I made, and then I'm reminded that there's very little reward for living by the rules. The stupid people seem so happy, and I'm smart and having an awful day.

Sovereign citizen vs taser is my personal favorite lane.

I used to go down deep rabbit holes of sovcit videos. They get too repetitive but it's good stuff. I'm traveling not driving. Citing farming laws from the 1800s. They're great in court too. I'm not Gorn. I'm the legal arbiter for individual known as Gorn, but that is not me. I am a free man. It's hilarious. But not enough variety.

Fight or Flight with Josh Hartnett. It would've been great with almost anyone other than Josh Hartnett. But it was very entertaining. Very violent but it held back. It should've been much more intense. More silly. Worth watching though.

For some reason that makes me think of that Clive Owen/Paul Giamatti/Monica Bellucci movie that was basically a live action Bugs Bunny. Shoot'em Up. That was hilarious.

I'm not much of a movie or TV show guy lately (couple years now) and do most of my lookin'-at with utoob.

I've been giggling at "honest movie trailers" and "..... pitch meeting" video the past week or so; interlaced with some Slapped Ham, Fail Army, Daily Dose and Mr. Ballen...

Geez I'm getting old. Talk about lazy entertainment. These content creators make good stuff; I'm talking about ME being lazy. OK slapped ham, fail army and daily dose just curate, but they're pretty good at finding stuff you haven't already seen.

I was pretty fond of Pluto TV recently.

COP SHOWS!!!! They've got "The Closer" and a few others. I like that one, sorta dramedy feel.(Suggestions welcome)

I totally missed the whole "Breaking Bad" universe but now Pluto has it. [I cut the cord in like 2016(?) So lots of stuff I'm sure I'd like in TV shows was behind paywalls and, yes, I'm that miserly cheapskate] If it ain't free-to-me I ain't lookin' at it.

The utoob isn't all that bad as a main source if you're willing to engage with the remote handy (oh, roku TV, duh). Yeah ads but IDC, really. Pluto works pretty well for non-couch-tv-on stuff like house cleaning.

When my family and I saw the trailer, we immediately thought of it as "Bullet Train" on a plane.

It's a lot of movies squeezed into one. Little bit of Snakes on a Plane, Bullet Train, Crank, John Wick, little bit of Plains, Trains and Automobiles. It was ambitious. It could've been great with better acting, dialogue, and directing. The fight choreography was solid. The CGI blood spurts and broken bones were really well done. It's that Josh Hartnett. Bad acting and zero charisma. He's meant to be relatable. Down on his luck and you're supposed to root for him. But you don't want to because he's a douchebag. It's a bad choice for a protagonist.

Relative to how seriously it took itself, this is the worst movie I've ever seen. I stayed for about a half hour and then read the plot summary on wikipedia and left.

As soon as I saw it stars the Weeknd, my brain said "Run away!". I like some of his music, though.

From one IMDB review: "The title 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' is incredibly appropriate-because the entire time I was watching it, I just wanted it to hurry up and end. Calling this a 'film' is generous; surviving it felt more like a cinematic endurance test." :D

Truly don't understand the hype with this guy or why studios keep letting him make TV and movies. The Idol on HBO was one of the worst things I've ever seen. He must have blackmail material on someone in Hollywood.

This weekend, I watched - in theaters! -:

- Final Destination: Bloodlines. If you know what to expect from the franchise, this movie delivers in spades. RIP Tony Todd.

- Caligula: The Ultimate Cut. Caligula is a notorious movie for several reasons, but this new cut consisting of never before seen footage (the director shot miles upon miles of footage for this movie that went unused) really transforms the movie. In this new cut, the movie is no longer an overbudgeted exploitation movie nobody in their right mind wanted their name attached to. Instead, it's closer to movies like Saló, a bizarre arthouse movie drenched in filth, violence and absurdity. Malcom McDowell really nails his role, too. In the theatrical cut, he was robbed of a stellar performance - of an emperor with a wide range of expressions in his insanity, a total rollercoaster at times.

I'll have to check this out since I've only seen the cut version. I saw Saló for the first time recently in a local art house theater as part of their "resistance cinema" series. I didn't love it as a piece of film making, but its notorious reputation is well-earned, to say the least.
