I recently watched an ep of this after watching an ep of The Pitt, and it was like watching a SNL sketch in comparison.
I knew it would be bad, but I underestimated its potential for badness.
My son recently watched all of Breaking Bad and I watched about half with him (already watched it when it came out). Now we’re on the last season of Better Call Saul. I watched it when it first came out and re-watching it has really solidified for me that, as I always thought, Saul is the better show. I don’t know - I have an easier time relating to a lawyer who’s crossing the line than a chemistry teacher who goes full-on dealer/murderer.
I watched the John Ford classic, "The Grapes of Wrath", hoping I'm not headed for those days. At least there's no Dust Bowl today.
Season two of The Last of Us has started. This was a decent show. Let's see if they can keep it up.

The Amateur was fun. Entertaining. Lawrence Fushburn as the badass cia agent who can kill you with his pinky was the wrong casting choice. He’s in his mid sixties and obese. Makes it tough to suspend disbelief. But it was an entertaining flick.
"The Outfit"
Started watching about halfway through, and I was riveted. The mob, intrigue, unexpected twists and turns, with a tailor in the middle of it all. I'm looking forward to watching the whole movie.

I'm looking forward to it. On a bass related tangent, I played bass with Gustavo Santaolalla (just one event) who does the music for The Last of Us. Amazing and super creative guy.
Now that it's all out, I can confidently say that I was not a fan of Daredevil: Born Again. The writing issues were just too apparent, and the story was too all over the place for me given the focus of the previous seasons. That said, I still have hope for Season 2.
Season 2 of The Last of Us has me very excited though. There are choices that I disagree with, but it has immense potential!
As a side note, I feel that there is no better place to ask: Anyone have good horror movie recommendations? My wife wants to watch something new. Not huge on gore fests, but willing to give anything with a good plot a chance!

Not really a horror film but with an atmosphere of overwhelming dread and hyper real production much like The VVitch, the Austrian film The Devil's Bath was really good IMO. It was Austria's Academy Awards entry this last year. Similar with Girl with a Needle. Both quality films though both are very easily spoiled. One can suspect where it's going but it would not be the same knowing that for sure going in. So, horror adjacent but strong plots.
The City and the City. So far a halfway decent adaptation, enjoyable enough. David Morrissey is pretty dependable.
