I just popped into this thread and started reading from a few pages back, and.... wow, you folks really don't care for Wes Anderson movies.
His films have had several clearly defined stylistic elements for years now, so I wonder why those who don't like his other recent movies would go see more of them. My wife and I enjoyed "The Phoenician Scheme" very much, just as we did "Asteroid City," "The French Dispatch," "Moonrise Kingdom," and especially "The Grand Budapest Hotel." My stepson and his wife feel the same way about those films. Ah well, different strokes....
I guess I approach things differently than some of you: If I strongly dislike a particular entree, painting, author, restaurant, concert venue, or what-have-you..... I don't go back to experience more of the same.
Just 2 days ago, my wife and I went to see "The Life Of Chuck," and while I would not call it great or a masterpiece, we both liked it. It's an adaptation of a Stephen King novella, but not a horror story or a frightfest. There is an element of something that might fall into the category of "paranormal," but mostly it is a film with some heartwarming and through-provoking ideas; one that has more in common with other non-supernatural Stephen King stories made into movies, like "The Shawshank Redemption," or "Stand By Me." I would advise all members of the Wes Anderson NON-Fan Club to skip it.
Just watched the first episode the other day as I will always love Tudyk cuz "Firefly." Very silly. Similar vibe with "iZombie" if that makes sense. The latest season of Resident Alien. Always good for laughs.
Sounds like you either have few good restaurants to choose from...I don't know who Wes Anderson is, but when I go to a restaurant and find a particular entree I don't like, I will indeed go back and try a different entree until I find something I like. Usually.

Mostly the first. Ain't much around here, and Dunks doesn't count as a restaurant, haha.Sounds like you either have few good restaurants to choose from...
or else you might be a glutton for punishment.![]()
We watched it yesterday evening!Tonight, Independence Day.
The first time I saw that was at Mann Chinese Theater when the movie came out.Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Been about 20 years since I last watched this.
I read "If It Bleeds" just last year, which contains the "The Life of Chuck" novella. It was confusing at first, but I figured it out about 1/3 of the way through. My wife and I are big Stephen King fans, so we will definitely see that one.Just 2 days ago, my wife and I went to see "The Life Of Chuck," and while I would not call it great or a masterpiece, we both liked it.
