"Mayor Of Kingstown" is great thus far. Kinda "The Wire" meets "Oz." And there is a new season in the works. Highly recommended.

Otherwise I got a Paramount+ trial to finish "Yellowjackets," which was pretty good. Another B+ season. Looks like there'll be a fourth.

Forgot South Park was coming back, so I will either get Paramount+ back in a couple weeks when it starts or wait until there are a few episodes banked. Didn't realize I'd missed a couple of their specials. So good. Just... so good.

Wife and I finally watched Deadpool and Wolverine. Fun and enjoyed it alot.

Found two slow-burner films I liked on cable TV. Vesper (2022), post apocalypse scifi that doesn't throw the scifi at you. The other was Manhattan Undying (1916), a neat (IMO) take on the vampire genre.

Watching while posting this? MTV Classic channel, I Want My 80s series. At this very moment, Penny Lover by Lionel Richie.

Iceman, the 2017 version.
This one was a bit more violent than the version from the 80's with Timothy Hutton. It was a good movie, with basically no dialogue. Some random words in the language spoken at that time, but very few and no subtitles. It ended up being alright as I was able to come up in my mind what I thought he was saying.

Caveman, from 1981.
I forgot how much I liked that movie. Like Iceman the night before, they only spoke in caveman with no subtitles, but I still managed to keep up with what's going on. Gives me hope I can communicate even when I can't speak, haha.

Watched the last episode of Murderbot. I listened to the first two audiobooks of the series and really liked them. The show was good, but should have been better. The short run time of each episode didn't leave much room for character development or backstory. Apple gave the green light for season two.

The short length of the episodes was my biggest gripe with Murderbot. I really enjoyed it otherwise.

The Mule has arrived in Foundation. I guess all the exposition was necessary in the first episode since so much time had passed, looking forward to that no longer being necessary.

Very, very, psyched, that they're doing Neuromancer. Apple is definitely the place for sci fi.

OMG! I knew Foundation was coming up, but it slipped by me. Thanks for the reminder!

Our Dinsey+ preview lapsed before I could finish Andor season 2, which I was looking forward to
Started watching the new Shogun, it scratches many itches for me. Loved the 1980s TV serial too, as a kid.

I wish I could justify the scratch for Apple TV. I've loved all of Foundation that I have seen so far. Don't care how it diverg3es form the books, which also love. I feel like it respects the source and conveys the sensibility well.
