how cool is this? i ordered a Source Audio BEF Pro and Hot Hand from BassEFX.com and they just ran out of stock on the BEF. Chad at BassEFX talked to the gents at Source and got them to ship the BEF straight to me so i don't have to wait for it to hit him then get to me.

SWEET. they'll for defo see more bidness from me.

The pro looks super fun(and huge but you're right it has 3 switches)but I haven't even seen a pro available from a Canadian site yet. Gearalley.com has the soundblox version for 125 bucks, which isn't bad. Gah, I'm trying to avoid buying pedals for a bit so's I can get a new(at least to me)bass. I really, really like the blacktop p-bass but I'd also really like to find a T-45. There's a sweet burst one on ebay right now but I can't afford anything just yet.

Hey Vlad, what you using it on? I bought one and tried it with my Eventide Modfactor and it did the exact same thing. Works perfectly fine in other things including when I stick it all up and in and around Behndy's hole. Oh babay. I mean....Behndy's Franta's hole..... :o

ANYWAYS....I did some research on it and some expression pedals have certain ohm requirement thingies...I think...bottom line is, the Modfactor needs one that's 25k and the Moog ep2 was NOT that. Someone who knows more can explain it precisely...but that could be the problem.

Thanks sousa, but what behndy says here...

mine's started to physically fail. it doesn't stay down when you go all the way heel. looking at maybe a Mission Engineering, not sure though since it has a shallower throw than the EP-2 and VP-Jr.

... is what's happening with mine too. It seems to operate just fine with regard to what its supposed to do with the Timeline (which is what I'm using it on). Its just that the rocker is sticky or something. It hasn't a smooth transition from heel to toe. I greased it, and loosened and then tightened it, but even though it does stay in place most anywhere I leave it, it still is sticky just past the heel, and when I heel it all the way, it slips a bit toe-ward until it meets the aforementioned sticky resistance. :hmm:

Still looking for ways to 'service' it.

Man, I just read the above in its entirety... Is it weird it seems a little dirty to me? Must be all the talk of Behndy's equipment. :p

EP-2 is the same for me. Used it successfully for say 2 months and now at full heel down it moves back up about 95% of the time. I kind of dig it actually - with the FrantaBit you can go from unintelligible madness to sweet crushing with one press.

However, it is definitely a product issue. Not cool.

lol. yeah. i've got some stuff to accidentally come out cool....... still. i know it's only $40, but it only lasted 2 months with the lightest of use?

i was talking to the Mission Engineering guys, and i like the throw length of the EP-2 and VP Jr way better, but they can make me one that's two outs, one for Line6 M-series stuff, one for the standard output that most pedals with expression ins look for. so with the Expressionator i'll be able to control three pedals plus the M9 with one pedal.

and i don't LOVE wah enclosure builds, but Mission Engineering stuff looks STURDY.

moo.

Nice B! Thanks for the heads up on that. I just got myself lost in the Mission sight. They have a nice selection of controllers.

hurm. i barely know anything about that model. Mission dooders respond to email real sharpish like though.

i didna put in a huge amount of time with it, worked like an Always On Exp Controller for me. what're you using it with when it gets funky?

Ok, my etched pog2 is ready and coming back (courtesy of DannDubblewe):

Behndy, you can borrow one of my modded-into-expression VPJr.'s if you want... I kinda don't need that many anymore. ;)

thanks Jean. i'll probably take you up on that. i'm gonna have to wait until next week to order a Mission and that'll take a few more weeks for the build since it's a custom.

DubbleDubDubDub does the PRETTY WORK.

that looks awesome
how is the sound quality in the pog 2....?
any EH pedal I have used in pass has been quite noisy

The POG2 is the only pedal from them that I haven't had any issues with (knock on wood). No noise from this one and sounds great. I'm always have more than 1 note going at a time, so for me this works a lot better than a traditional monophonic octaver. Plus, you can get a good variety of different sounds out of it. I think DW had some fun poking through my presets.

Jean did DannDubblewe just etch the original enclosure?

yep, it's the original enclousure... sanded down, etched and clearcoated. the knob/buttons/slider caps were painted truck-bed black. Turn around: 5 days! Insane.

It actually behaves that way with every pedal I've tried with it. Lunar Echo, FrantaBit and The Elements. Not sure. lol I'll mess around with it some more. I was thinking of popping the back off and having a look at the guts.
