Just realized I forgot to mention the bandana that's in every case for wiping down the strings and neck after every session.

I was reminded of this because my wife just said "We need to make more COVID masks, do you have any bandanas?" :)

The only thing in my bass case besides my bass is a harmonica from John Popper.

Sadly I don't have a cool story. My now-wife and I went to see them about ten years ago, and he was tossing them out into the crowd like candy. At least ten people went home with one that night. I used to put it in my pocket when I went on stage. Now it just lives in the case.

In my gig bag I keep a small tool pouch which has hex keys in various sizes, Phillips and blade screwdrivers in a few sizes, nail clippers. Two straps, guitar cables, polishing cloth, TC Polytune Clip, spare batteries for the tuner, spare strings, another tuner, pen, ear plugs.

I have MONO M80 and Vertigo cases, but always bring the “tick” accessory bag to carry some gear. In the gig bag: Strap, tuner, cable, polishing cloth, neoprene straplocks, earplugs, business cards

In the accessory tick:
Complete toolkit
One new + used string set
Battery
Backup patch, power, speaker, and instrument cables
Outlet tester
Pedals for the gig
OneSpot power
Flashlight
Hand towel

I have a bag I take with me that has cables, tuner, etc, because I use because I play guitar & bass and I don't have double son everything, so if I left it in one case I might forget it if I take a different instrument.
(I don't have as many as most of you here, but still it could mean I forget something.)
S0 in my bass case I have things specific to my bass.

-strap
-rubber strap lock things (Like the beer bottle washers)
-String Cleaner (a device with a microfibre cloth in it the wipes off the strings & fingerboard)
-A microfiber cloth

I carry the other every-time use stuff - earplugs, small tool kit, circuit checker, guitar cables - in the soft case for my pedal board. The pedal board has three units mounted: a Korg Pitchblack tuner, Bad Monkey OD (modified) and '63 Fender Reverb pedal.

And I have a separate bag for occasional use stuff like gaffer tape, extra speaker cables, mic cables, guitar cables, AC cords, pocket digital recorder, and anything specific to the occasion. This bag often stays in the car unless I need it.

There's no way anything can get out of my cases' compartments. short of something catastrophic happening hat would damage the bass, anyway. And there's nothing heavy and dense in the compartment. Instrument cable's the most dangerous, and it's not.

I have two MONO cases, one Vertigo and one M80. In each I keep a foldable stand, an instrument cable, an Italia 4" leather strap, a PolyTune clip, multitool, spare 9V battery, spare button cell for the tuner, and a set of earplugs. I also have a Tick bag for when I need to carry extra stuff, and some picks I hardly ever use.

No worries. I'm not a fan of using Ibuprofen, it's pretty toxic in my opinion and I try to avoid using it. However, on that rare occasion that I get a bad headache, where aspirin just doesn't cut it (usually only good for mild headaches for me), I use ibuprofen as to quote the late great Freddie Mercury, the show must go on.

2 Basses, ear plugs, towel, wrist bands and bottles of WATER.

WATER!!!!!!

Cause all the dumps we play at don’t ever hook the bands up with drinks.

Im not asking for bottles of single malt whisky, just water.

These lousy places have soured my entire experience of playing out.

We bring our buddies out, selling tickets and the bums make a door fee.

Then hit up working musicians $4 for $.10 Shoprite h20.

Now I’m not cheap, just torques me up when we bring out peeps.
