You can get the candy apple red and dolphin gray ones for quite reasonable prices on ebay, but you have to get them shipped from Japan.

Yeah I definitely didn't read that clearly enough, but hey it's 2am and I just got home from "massaging" over 200 Mercedes Benz bodies for the last 8 hours before they hit the "paint booth".

Trying to keep from turning my gear on and running through Aerosmith's Seasons of Wither. I keep telling myself, just one time through it and go to bed, it won't hurt to do that. But I know better. If I pick up the bass now, in about 3 hours I will have gone through a whole set list and asking myself what the heck happened to the time.

I wish I was able to play my gear late at night. If I want to practice, I have to plug into my audio interface and listen with headphones. Not a bad experience, but doesn't compare to using an amp.

Right now, I'm learning all of the Beatles "Something." Not technically difficult, but it's a mental challenge to remember all of the 30 variations McCartney uses on the same basic line.

Nothing on my list... so go away and don't tempt me, God knows my current state of mind won't last long. I've already toyed with the idea of a third TKS S112 cab ;)

If you mean basses... I'm GAS free. I've been selling stuff I don't use, to concentrate on fewer but good instruments. My "GAS" is being distracted with modifications. Currently I have on the go several mods:

Schecter Model T: remove the 2-band EQ and install a passive tone plus an active semiparametric mids module. I've got the bits, just need to sit down and do it. Just not a fan of that EQ, I get some nice sounds but I can't get that passive treble roll off that I use a lot.

Squier Matt Freeman Precision: This was converted to JJ years ago. That's one J pickup at the bridge and another mounted on the pickguard but as close to the bridge as it can go. Humbucking J style pickups. It gives a really cool sound and it's my main bass with a reggae band. I'm going to install a varitone-type control on it, plus adding a series option for the pickups.

Squier Mike Dirnt Precision: My only 'proper' Precision these days. Got a ToneStyler tone control for it. To be installed one of these days.

Maruszczyk Jake: It's got a reverse Precision pickup mounted a bit closer to the bridge than normal. I'm installing a John East MMSR preamp on it, the 3-band one with semiparametric mids. I have already cut the wood etc (it was a rear-mounted one, no pickguard, and I am putting a Stingray style plate on it which required some mild woodwork).

My main basses are a Stingray and a Sandberg VM4. The Sandberg is ok, but I may end up installing a John East U-Retro that I bought years ago, as I'm not entirely happy with the 2-band installed in it and I love the J/U-Retro preamps. But not in a hurry and might never happen.

One modification idea a day keeps the GAS away ;)

I'd love to get a Kiesel Zeus 6, but I don't think it's up to true GAS levels for me. I'm pretty happy with my Carvin.

Right now, I really want a cheap fretless 4-string to fool around with. I had an old SX 5-string that I'd converted, but the neck was twisted on it and it wasn't ever really right. That one got a Viking funeral. I've been looking at the Glarry basses, and they have what I want, but they're sold out right now.

I really dig the Steve Harris SH1 rig from Tech21; it's so versatile, and I need a good compact unit for some tone color. I ended up giving my Zoom B3 to my youngest son, so I'm going nekkid straight to the amp these days.
