What's on your G.A.S list and why?

Up until a couple of weeks ago it was a massive list of Musicmans, Fender Jazzes and a G & L Kiloton. I was angry at my Ric and was going to return it for something with a slimmer neck. I was browsing around and discovered the PRS SE Kestrel and it addressed all the single issues that I was finding with the others at a fraction of the price. I then did a setup on the Ric, gave it some time and fell in love with it again. Which is a good thing.....Except Im now have serious GAS for the Kestrel but now it would be buying another Bass instead of replacing one .

Long story short, a PRS Kestrel.

For me it would be a 5 string Music man bass. I have Fender P's and J's (4 and 5 strings). A Lakland 55-02, a rickenbacker, and a fret less bass but no Music Man Stingray 5.

One of my old bass players had a stealth 5 string music man, and that thing was incredible. All buttery all the time, I couldn't find one thing I disliked about it.

The only stuff I want right now is cello related. Need to get a case, pickup, bow rehair. I pretty much feel comfortable with my level of other instruments though. I guess another uke is always fun, only have one of those right now. I downsized and sold 80% of my gear a few years ago, and quite enjoy just having a small collection of stuff.

Cirrently on my G.A.S list:

Strandberg Boden - Love the headless design, dual sitting position body, and light weight.

Torzal (any model) - Fascinated by the ergonomic twisted neck/body design.

NS Design Radius CR (or) WAV (or) Ibanez Affirma - Want a fretted bass with piezo pickup.

Rob Allen Mouse - Want a short-scale fretless.

Fender Aerodyne - Light weight, fast neck, good-looking, PJ.

(You can look at my profile for currently own and previously owned basses for context.)

What about you?
That's easy. The recently announced '20 Gibson Tbird in Ebony.

Usa fender jazz in black and maple, either a geddy or am standard.. great do everything bass. Id string it bead
Matsumoku p bass, never played one but i love the vintageness of them. Want to play one with 2 p's
G&l l2500 just to have a second 5er to play around with

Bass amp and cab/combo - Currently on the TC500 Amo and K2x10 (but would be for the 2x12, but seems it's discontinued.

Guitar Amp - Blackstar SilverLine 50W

Pedals - SubNup and tuner (currently stuck between the mini and standard TC Tuner, I think I'll regret not having a battery option on the Tuner, but prefer the small Noir Model)

Sampler - I had wanted just a simple drum machine with Midi Clock out to sync to the Dittox4, but then saw the
Electribe Sampler Sequencer which has it's limitations, but limitations on creative tools can help with focusing creativity.

Then longer term
Sire P 5 string to string with a high C

Squire CV Strat.

Finally had my new work contract presented to me today, so although it needs tweaking, I can start committing to funds soon.

After buying a 1985 Epiphone P style bass, modding it with EMGs, I have got to experience that "P" bass thing and I love it, but it has left me wanting more. I have got to have a P/J setup as well. And after buying a Fender Kingman with a Jazz neck, what better P/J bass to go with than a Fender right?

But my gas isn't stopping there. Then there's this cab, because I need it.
Markbass Classic 152 H / 4 ohm 800w RMS
Which creates the problem of which head to get to go with it...

Maybe the Markbass Casa Head...
500w @ 4 ohms
Between the cab and the head, I think it will be perfect for the latest band project I'm involved in and the gigs we'll be doing.

I could definitely forego the bass, really need the cab and head though.

About 500 things. Currently at the top is an Ampeg V4-B with an SVT 212AV cab. A couple of the Guitar Centers around here have had them recently, and every time I play them I fall more in love.

I also want an EBMM StingRay 4HH in dropped copper. And a '70s Fender Precision with an A neck. And an SVT-CL. And an 810 cab. And a Guild Starfire II in emerald green. And a Gibson Ripper. Etc. Etc.

I didn't mention this in my post just now, but I hope to someday acquire every non-export color of Aerodyne.

I'm torn on that. Keep hearing about the hit and miss with some of the American made stuff. But the Japanese made stuff does anyone rarely complain about.

For now though I need to stay focused on the "rig". I own 6 basses, so I'm not hurting in that dept. Really not hurting in amplification either, my GK MB210-II combo with a 210 extension cab is a 500 watt stack. But It just doesn't look the part to me for what I want. It's a great rig though. Light, enough power for bar gigs. But no FX send / return is a pisser. Don't know why GK left that out.

To be clear, by non-export I mean every one not made for distribution outside Japan. I just got a gunmetal blue one and I'm very happy with it. I'm also happy with my black one made for American distribution (but that one's less rare and exciting).

You can get the candy apple red and dolphin gray ones for quite reasonable prices on ebay, but you have to get them shipped from Japan.
