What's on your G.A.S list and why?

This nearly qualifies as gas, but a Mesa WD 800 would be cool, but my Eden heads would have to be dead and not repairable first.

Bass wise, not a big thing--but if I saw an Ibanez SRH500F for a real good price (Or if I came into some extra money), I'd probably go for it.
they play nicely and the different tones would be a nice way to expand my bass options.

My bass related GAS right now is more directed at pedals--an Auto Wah, and Octave pedal and maybe an EQ would allow me to have separate pedalboards for bass & guitar, and not have to borrow from the other.

For basses:
- Squier Deluxe Active 5: One of the cooler basses I have seen come out from Squier (and quite frankly, Fender) in recent memory. The all black ones look super slick and I love how they have ebonol boards. The only concern of mine is the basswood body but having played one at GC I've been bitten by them.

- Sire V9 in blackburst: I tried a V7 and while I loved it I am not much of a traditionalist, so the V9 fits the bill.

- Spector Euro 5 LT: The only Spectors I played were EMG-HZ equipped ones and I wasn't too keen on those; these, with the Darkglass preamp and Bartolini pickups look much more interesting.

- BassMods K524/K534: Cost wise they look like great deals considering what you get with them AND they have some awesome finishes. Speaking of which, does anyone have any experience with them?

- ESP Horizon 5 with EMGs: Probably one of the best ESP shapes; why don't they reissue it?

- Ibanez Affirma 5: Played one when I visited CME; love at first sight.

- Fernandes FRB105S: Yeah, these are probably some of the rarest basses around (Fernandes Sustainer bass) but I still wouldn't mind having one.

Pedals:
- Darkglass Microtubes X, Boss DS-1X, MXR Analog Chorus, a good DI (Sansamp most likely), a good compressor, and a good noise gate/filter.

Well, first of all... I'm a lefty (and, no, I cannot play right handed), so finding any decent > really good basses, can be a chore. Not quite impossible, but, given my criteria, a chore... Years ago, I made a list of basses I wanted, based on; the bass itself (Gibson T-Bird, for example); the brand (like, Gretsch), where any model will do; and finally, the type/design (like, "Active", or "Long scale neck thru"). After years of diligent searching, and not a little luck (ever seen a factory lefty Gretsch bass? I have the only one I've ever seen), I've managed to get most of the ones I want. However... The ones I'm still looking for?
1. A Long Scale Hollow body. Not a semi - hollow body, but one like a Gretsch White Falcon. This one has proved to be... impossible?... so far. But, there's one out there somewhere - that maybe won't cost me a fortune...
2. A Short Scale Hollow body. This is proving to be a hard one, too - unless I'm willing to suck it up, and get another violin bass. And, actually, I already have one;

Even though, at $130 (including shipping) it's not the greatest bass in the world, it's a ... fairly decent... player, and it would fill the spot in my herd. But, I'd really like something just a little nicer... The other bass in the picture - an old MIK Rogue VB-100 - fills the "Violin Bass" spot very nicely...
3. A Short Scale Neck-thru. This is another one that's proving... hard... to find. Other than Alembic, I can't think of anybody who makes such a thing - in a lefty. I know that Aria did, back in the '70s, but Aria lefties are pretty scarce. Maybe I'll get lucky...
4. Long Scale Set Neck. This one's also proving to be hard to find. A '14-'17 lefty Gibson EB bass would be a good choice; or, I could fill that spot with this:
Epic 2.JPG my '95 Alembic Epic. It currently fills the "Active Bass" spot (rather well, too). But, since one of my Herd Rules is "Each bass can only fill one spot", that would mean I'd have to buy another active bass. And, problem is, I don't particularly care for them. What to do, what to do....
5. Short Scale Bolt neck. This one is probably the easiest bass for me to get; although the choices thin out really quick when you throw "left handed" and "very well made" into the mix. Still, I have a few candidates in mind...
So, those are the basses I'm looking for. Maybe I'll find some of them, and maybe I won't. I sometimes think I've reached the point where the actual search itself might be more satisfying than actually finding/getting the bass...:whistle:

I just added the Kiesel Vader 30"scale to my list.

And I also need a distortion pedal that can sound similar to Darkglass, but not as expensive. I checked out some alternatives, and based on YouTube demo videos, these seem to come close:

Tech 21 VT Bass DI
Source Audio Aftershock
Boss JB-2 Angry Driver
Boss ODB-3
Idiotbox Blower

I guess I'll have to pick one.

fancy preamp to upgrade from my radial tonebone od. a grace audio felix to be exact, santa!

this 70s godin semi hollowbody four string is calling me to from a local music shop, just asking me to rip the frets out and make it a fretless like it should be!
