The only thing I have in mind to buy as of right now is a new amp setup. Leaning toward MarkBass. Thinking either a CMD 102P or perhaps a CMD 151P Jeff Berlin. Regardless it'll definitely be a combo.

So let's hear what you're wanting in 2014.

Red sparkle EBMM Bongo 5 HSp, unlined fretless. I have a side project starting up a bit that needs a fretless, and I love my Bongos, so I ordered a fretless one. Should be here in February. Otherwise, I don't plan on anything, and I'm pretty GAS-free overall.
My main project I need nor even want anything for. I'm starting to learn upright bass (well, EUB), so I may end up wanting stuff for that, but I believe that I'm a good way away from justifying more gear until I have plenty of lessons and practice under my belt... 2015 might be the year I get a "real" upright and such though.

A new amp, either the Ampeg PF500 or the Hartke LH500, and I'm leaning towards the Hartke right now. I also want to pick up another BC212 cab for my TC BH500 head. Bass-wise, I'm content with my honeyburst P, and my FSR J.

There's a shop over in St. Louis (maybe 80 miles away) that carries the Phil Jones line. I'm very impressed by those itty-bitty amps, and could definitely see how having one around could be very useful!

Just ordered a viola bass, should be in late jan 2014
I hope to save up and buy myself a birthday present in sep2014 - ric bass 4003 or 4001, fireglo
Hopefully in dec 2014 I can have enough stash to get a used Warwick Germany/pro corvette standard 6

I'm trying to plan and not buy blindly in 2014.

Wait a second- think I can squeeze an epiphone zenith or a Eastwood classic 4 white with gold binding/hardware in may ?

Oh well....

Two things ordered that probably won't arrive until early next year:
- a bass version of the Lazy J Cruiser overdrive pedal
- a John East J-Retro deluxe onboard preamp for my fretted jazz bass
(to replace the U-Retro I against recommendations squeezed into the control cavity but which didn't like the cramped conditions for too long ...)

As to other new stuff and basses specifically, I'm sure something will cause GAS next year too :) but the only thing I'm somewhat interested in at the moment is some kind of not too expensive six-string bass. I've wanted a Sandberg TM-5 for a long while too, but as I don't need another five string bass I really should stop looking at their web site.
