Allrighty:
for one:
This started life as a 24" scale Hadean uke bass.

@KohanMike had some work done to it.
Gold hardware: hardtail bridge, and 3 thunderbird style humbuckers. Added fretmarker stickers and gold Gibson style speed knobs. Originally wired with all 3 series wired HB's in parallel to volume knob.

With the stock plastic nut.
Overall look when it arrived:

Not one to leave well enough alone:
cut and unwound BEAD round wound from an old string set I had laying around, work very nicely.

The crappy plastic nut had to go! So I cut a new nut from a cow bone blank.

Adjusted the action , truss rod, and intonation.
Plays really nice now..

Restung with125-65 roundwound strings which feel good with the lowered action.

Weather cooled off and parts arrived.
3 way switch: neck, neck middle, middle
250k Tone w/push pull to activate bridge pickup.
Full copper sheilding.
500k volume
Removed fretboard stickers.
Dressed frets.
Cool.

next up: poor thing i scored for 36.00 on ebay.
I have a Chinese ebony fretboarded electromatic neck sitting waiting for a project: so why not?
Slight finish adhesion issue... but a fully appointed complete body.

So after HOURS MESSY MESSY hours of getting that 1/32" thick poly off, i still had to remove all of the sealer which was cracking and lifting to get to the SOFT UGLY wood underneath.
As always, not able to just leave it alone:
I hand shaped a belly cut, and forearm contour. Plan to seal with Shellac, prime and level sand.
Will shoot with Turquoise MASSIVE flake and tons of clear coat (Varathane Ultra waterbased)

I had to take apart and clean my Roland FC-100 controller for my GP-8.
One button wouldn’t engage the patch selection. I sprayed some contact cleaner on the printed circuit board micro-switch.
I didn’t even think about gut pics…sorry.

Making a few templates today, a Dean Cadillac bass and an Ibanez 420 guitar.

My wife and her friend do alot of sewing and they use a projector connected to the computer to cut out the pattern PDFs.
I've used this to create templates on MDF and it works great. Find a picture of the guitar you want to make, scale the projection using the string spacing at the bridge and distance from the bridge to the twelfth fret is correct then trace the picture onto the MDF.

I'll take these home and cut them out on the band saw and BOOM! easy templates in about a half hour

I saw a similar projector at Hobby Lobby last week. I almost bought it I just didn’t have anything I need to project at the moment.

Flat (and thin, about 1.5 inches) my son wants me to build him one like my first build from back in '86. I drew that one up free hand and had never done any major wood working. Still love to play it today.

Playing musical necks and correcting the atrocious oversight of an unblocked Fretboard.

Painted the appropriate color

Out of its bindings, the old twelfth fret sticker pulled up some of the finish, I'm not going to fix it. It matches the rest of the bass.

Bolted on, from black and maple to black and black.

I had this VU/POWER LED meter form a very long time. I installed it in my mini stereo bass rig…for an extra little bling.

Made some sawhorses so I could take the messy sanding work outside. I used some old 4x4 cedar that sat outside for years and thought it would be cool to keep the old weathered surface. It was not cool. Nothing was square, nothing was straight, and the outside was just punky enough to make it impossible to mark an accurate line. Took way longer than it should have and I still didn't really get them square. Oh well, good enough for sawhorses. On the plus side, they smell nice and they're strong enough to support the top of the workbench that I'm going to get around to building One Of These Days Real Soon Now.

Oh, and I fixed that laundry basket in the background. Then it immediately came apart again because epoxy doesn’t stick to whatever plastic it’s made from.

AFAIK, epoxy doesn't stick to anything. It bonds by penetration.

Extra bling wins every time!
My wife laughs at me because of all the chrome on my Harley, she likes to tell me "Chrome don't get you home."
My standard answer every time is "Yeah, but it will get you laid."
