He works on electrics also. Some “interesting” Gibson headstock repairs among other things. He’s probably biased towards acoustics though. I have a neck (not Gibby) that I need to fix and was looking for ideas.

currently on my bench, well a makeshift bench so i can move around this thing.
No road case and leaving the usb cable plugged in when you toss a console in your backseat will do this( not mine… its a buddies)

why is a 10 pack of usb B board mount cheaper than just one or two?

You were absolutely right. Not only is it more controllable and safer, but it even produces a better surface finish. Probably because I can feed the work at a more consistent rate.

I didn’t even cut it that way on purpose. It’s the end of a log I cut square to try and split some little boards for small live edge display tables. the wood was too checked and didn’t split well, but the angled cut shape of the top of this bit, and it’s mass (live oak is heavy) have led to it being useful on my bench as a rest/ tool stabilizer. I should probably “pretty it up” a bit, or a least smooth the top and get some oil in it.

That’s a crazy amount of work. but I bet there are some crazy grain patterns down there. Hopefully not too many rocks.
