I bought an Amazon return switch. And re-purposed it into a stereo junction box.
Stereo in, to separate switchable output jacks(neck and bridge). I can now select pickups by footswitch.(on or off).
I just added two output jacks and rewired the whole thing.

My son has asked me to build him a bass like my first build from way back (which was loosely based on the Dean Cadillac), and specifically wants the same pickup as I have in mine. As luck would have it I stumbled across one of these rarely seen pups, and its never been installedin a bass!

Nice pickups. I have a couple of those and a couple of the DiMarzio version. The Schallers are ones where one string is wildly off from the edge of the pickup with no volume loss.
Yea, the instruction sheet is from the first one I bought years ago, it's good to have the color codes for the wires.
A further refinement to my thickness sanding jig. I was getting occasional divots from failing to keep the workpiece held solidly against the fence, so I added a sort of cam to do that for me. It is somewhat self-adjusting if you keep the wingnut loose. As the gap between the fence and the cam gets smaller, the friction between the workpiece and cam gets higher until it causes the cam to rotate a bit, increasing the clearance again. I would like to say I planned that, but it's mostly a happy accident.

Making a change to my 6: I initially had the pickup located somewhere (relatively) between where a MM and a P pickup would be placed. I eventually routed a new pickup location and am 3D printing a dummy cover to fill the old location.

My pickup placement tester is fresh off the bench and out in the field to find placement for adding a J pickup for an olp I picked up.
The Explorer case was still unfinished, and I used it that way for months. With the rain and snow coming, I painted it green all over. As you can see I'm not the greatest painter.

Mask the liner with some painters tape, and paint the inside edges and it will look finished!

Yes, with the possibility of it becoming a switched 2-pickup bass.
Fretwork on PRS SE. Not good fretwork from factory, some dents from strings and tragic fret material. Now it will be better I think.
Okay got the stump cut into 4 manageable pieces. At least one (maybe 2) can give sizes needed for tops. We will see. The piece right of center has the most spalting.
