This might be a silly question, but if you haven't spent any time searching these threads on SX basses then how would you know that there's so much talk about them?Ya know... I avoided forums for a long time because of responses like this...If I spent my time searching threads I'd never play my bass! With over 1000 people surfing this place I figured it was quicker to just ask since half the answers are just sarcasm anyway!
haha. The title was totally read in Jerry Seinfeld's voice in my head.
Aside from the fret level I have had to do that with every bass I have ever bought. They are good basses as long as you are willing to give them a complete setup (i.e. adjusting neck relief, bridge height, nut slots and maybe even fret level). You could pay to have all of that done and get a great playing and sounding bass for relatively cheap
LMFAOEver heard of Essex girls? Same thing. Cheap and cheerful, a bit shoddy on the quality (beggars can't be choosers), goes down a treat, open to upgrades.
there should be an entire sub forum for sx lovers, so we dont hav to be bombarded by losers who feel depressed because my $109 with little more than $100 on mods is better, more reliable, more fun to play, than their 'brand new', 'god-worthy' peice of fender marked, firewood. (although fender fire wood would probibly have an active ignition system, but give out far less heat than any other run-of-the-mill fire wood)
People have started to figure out that a CNC in China does just as good a job as one in _____.

I'm a CNC machinist. The same CNC machine can turn out Aerospace-quality excellence, or an entire run of scrap. They are not magic. What do you know about CNC, anyway?
