whats the difference between these basses

whats the difference between these basses, aren't the both musicman basses?

i was looking to get the Ray-34 sterling, but im curious to why is the pricing dramatically different , is one a knockoff brand?

the SBMM Ray-34 is like a squire for fender

I think that's a bit of a harsh comparison. It's much, much closer if not better than the Lakland Skyline Series compared to USA Laklands.

It`s technically "the lower end" version of its US counterpart, but the quality in these basses far surpasses that of any Squier by comparison. I bought one as a backup to my US StingRay and it has honestly been seeing more playing time than my US Ray. It sounds like a Ray, it feels like a Ray, it looks like a Ray, and it`s quality is top notch. I would hesitate to call it in anyway inferior to the US made basses.
