What's the worst car you ever owned?

'04 Dodge Dakota.
Quad cab, 4.7 liter V8, tow package heavy duty everything.
Bought it new in January '05, Parking brake pedal literally fell off two weeks after I bought it.
Bad ball joints in the first year.
The air conditioning quit and dodge wanted $800.00 to remove the entire dash and replace a $50.00 part. I looked on a forum and found the part number, went to the parts counter and paid $16.00 instead of $50.00, reached under the dash and replaced it myself in 15 min.
Power steering pump failed.
Pinion seal on the rear differential failed.
All the above happened with less than 38k on the odometer.
Yes, less than 38k on the odometer.
Says "Made in Dearborn, MI" on the sticker inside the door jam, but "Made in Mexico" is stamped on the leaf springs in big yellow letters.
Let's not forget that Chrysler raped the tax payers by taking the bail-out money.
Won't buy another piece of $#!* Chrysler product as long as I live.

1997 Chevrolet Lumina. Not really a bad car overall, but the automatic transmission was a nightmare. Had to get rebuilt twice and when it started to go again we just gave it away. Now I only buy cars with manual transmissions. Lol.
You would be surprised how many of the top US made autos frames and suspension parts are made in Mexico.
You reminded me, my Vega was also Motor Trend car of the year also. So I looked it up.

I have a 97 lumina LS with 220K and never had a bit of problem with the trans, shifts pretty smooth for an old gal

least fav. was 06 mazda 6. drove great w/ good gas. only problem was no aux port. im good with installing that stuff so I bought it anyway, only to find out nothing out there was compatible with the stock headunit, and the entire dash needed to be replaced to change the head unit. ended up trading it after 3 months

I remember my brother having a '72 Vega, bought it new when he got out of high school. I swear it was already rusting by the time he drove it home from the dealer. What a piece of garbage!
And my sister had a (I think) '72 Maverick that she bought used in 1976. It had the special "Sprint" package with the hokey red white and blue trim over a white exterior. That was another piece of junk.
I had an '85 Ford Escort and actually paid extra for the 5 speed manual just so I could get most out of all 68 horsepower.
I had all kids of electrical problems the entire time I owned the car and the dealer could never figure it out. There was also a leak somewhere around the roof line or the windshield and every time it rained it would drip onto my left leg. If it rained while I was away from the car the driver's seat would become a puddle. They even replaced the windshield twice and that never fixed the problem. I got so tired of it I got a tube of caulk and caulked around the entire roof line and all around the windshield. That looked not only awful but just plain stupid, but at leat it fixed the problem. 
I was happy in 1991 when the car failed to start on my way into work one morning. The engine light came on so I checked the oil and when I unscrewed the dipstick and removed it there was a frothy whitish foam that reeked of gasoline covering the dipstick. Rather than get p****d off I simply decided that was the last straw and I was going to finally get a new car. I sold it as-is and replaced it with a Honda Accord. I've owned nothing but Hondas and Acuras ever since and will probably buy them exclusively for the rest of my life. They make VERY reliable vehicles!

As a hard-up student with kids an 80s Nissan Micra, bought in the mid 90s for £110, matt silver about 30% hand painted over filler and bent panels. Lasted me, incredibly, a year but the worst looking car imaginable. One to forget about, until now :-/

I had an 06 Mazda6S Hatchback. One of my favorite cars. I'd probably still have it if it wasn't wrecked.
And there was an aftermarket piece for aux input. I know because I had it. I'll be damned if I remember what it was, but there definitely was one.
No, I wouldn't. All the American auto companies have imports with their name on it. I've seen many a Harley with "Showa" stamped on the forks too. I'm not against it, just don't like mfgr's letting on to be something there not.
My ex had a Pontiac Le Mans that had a sticker in the door jam that read, "A Product of Korea" so I couldn't resist poking her big brother in the ribs because he was the biggest GM fan boy on the planet. He was so eat up by it (because he talked her into buying GM) that he removed the sticker when I wasn't around.
I know truth in advertising is too much to ask, but saying one thing and doing another is just pure scum in my book.
