Yeah, haha, I didn't think it looked anything like figuered maple, even though the description said it.

No problem. It's definitely not maple I'm very sure it is Amboyna...it can get quite expensive, especially for a chunk without knots. Are you thinking of having a custom or Benavente built?

Haha, some day, some day. I do definitely intend to get one built in a few years, so it's nice to know what my favourite top is, but it was more a case of "Wow, look at that, it's brilliant"
